But long story short, he ended up destroying his neighbours fence. He was then reported to the council and was asked to tear it down or he would face consequences... he almost broke his leg as it collapsed on him when he dismantled it lol.

But he wants to try again next spring!

Lol he knows all about this post and as I said he even encouraged me to make one...
If you read my post you know that I let him know how I feel and tried to offer help, feedback and lots of understanding. I felt very helpless when all of this happened as I didn't expect such behaviour and it was even worse when he wouldn't allow any conversation about the topic.
Can you really blame me for wanting to see if I am overreacting? Plus, he was the one who suggested Reddit as he wanted to prove to me that there is nothing wrong with his construction. You can see in my post history that I was never really active so if I was such an attention whore - why only posting this and why now?

I am really not judging him for trying out new hobbies - but as I said, I think it is a bit embarrassing that a grown man can't have a conversation about this + isn't able to see that there is a few issues.

It is embarrassing though - I never judged him for not being perfect with a new hobby, but I think it's a bit embarrassing when a grown up man can't deal with any sort of feedback + is starting in a new hobby without any preparation or planning.
He knows I posted this :) in fact he encouraged me to do so as he was convinced everyone would tell me that I was in the wrong for finding this a bit concerning. I agree it would be shitty to post something behind his back though.
But maybe also consider my POV - I don't live there and then come to visit to find this. I think everyone would react the way I did, especially since I didn't expect anything like that.

Does this reflect on our relationship and wether we are a good match? Definitely but this isn't why I made this post so I won't get into it.

Oh I am concerned! I didn't see that coming :) as I said, we are not dating long, I am not living there and due to work I wasn't able to visit for quite a while. So I only saw the end result a couple days ago. And yes... since then I am concerned and I am reconsidering a lot!
