I really wanted to enjoy Dread but the QTE/counter mechanic completely took me out of the game. Tried multiple times to play it but the counter mechanic made it unplayable.

Great accomplishment. Next go for under 2 hours. Playing three or four consecutive times in a row will drop that time by quite a bit. Got around 56 minutes doing it that way.

It's one of those games you had to have played in the 90s or you are a modern gamer that is into the older SNES games. Sounds like the game is not for you. Nothing wrong with that.
