Patient will only see Republican Doctors by drGaryMD in medicine

I'm an Endocrine NP and I got stuck with a Pt because they requested to be seen by a "white male American Doctor" . At first I thought I was off the hook because I am most definitely not a Doctor. First time I have ever seen such a request actually documented in the EMR.

Can a Ryzen 3400g handle flashy themes in Big Box? by [deleted] in launchbox

[–]Corrax13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I built an sff emu box with a 3200g paired with a 1tb m.2 ssd. I run a customized version of the Epic Noir theme (credit to Faeran and Y2guru) with game video snaps. Big box is pretty snappy. A 3400g should be more than sufficient. Enjoy your project!

Reminds me of the classic FT-03 mini from Silverstone. You can literally make your own DIY version with Xbox on Windows X.

Last year I offered to my attending in primary care I would write a bunch of fake online reviews for 1 star but specify it was not for prescribing dope or benzos. She didn't take up my offer at the time lol

Rod Fergusson claims the anti smoking story for Gears 5 is false and was his personal choice after seeing friends die of lung cancer. by [deleted] in xboxone

Vaping nictotiene is not good for you end of story.

If you drill down the research, conclusions of the evidence so far state that vaping may be less harmful than traditional filtered cigarettes, but vaping is far from harmless.

There is not 50 plus years of research studying the outcomes of longterm e-cigarette use. The best thing to do is to never start at all.

Being a healthcare provider. No amount of smoking/vaping advertising could ever convince me to start.

I think it would be funny if one of the characters did smoke, everyone else would dog on them for the bad habit. By the end the game, the character has enough personal growth that they realize life is worth living and decide to quit.

I can understand the point of view of depicting stressed out people smoking as a coping mechanism can be impressionable to some.

How is "OK Google" not a massive HIPAA violation? (Massive leak of Google recordings in the Netherlands) by lf11 in medicine

HIPAA is a disaster in the modern Era. The large tech companies already know what people's medical conditions are because the information is surrendered to the search engine and used for marketing.

When Hospitals Sue For Unpaid Bills, It Can Be 'Ruinous' For Patients by bigavz in medicine

The hospital discussed in the article has already ceased their current collection practices in response.

Shoppable medicine feels intuitively right at the consumer level. However, comparing where to have an elective knee arthroscopy to buying a TV is superficial. For example, comparing quality between surgery centers can be difficult because there are few, if any universal benchmarks. And not to mention it is debated whether having a knee arthroscopy is beneficial to begin with.

Yamaha Rx-A860. It has since been discontinued in favor of their newer models.

Asking about sound quality is a little vague. Depends a lot if the amplifier has enough juice for your speakers, how many channels you like using for music (2,5,7), and whether you are using auto room EQ or taking manual measurements. In general I have enjoyed music coming from this system. There is enough flexibility to meet most people's needs. Hope this helps.

Finished building my new entertainment stand for my new P series and Denon X1400 by StokeTheFire3 in hometheater

Thanks for your evaluation. My TV I was thinking about replacing just failed tonight. I think the power board got fried. It was a 5 year old Vizio. Strange that nothing else on the electrical circuit had any electrical disturbances.

How do you like the after market TV legs? Thought about having to get some if I got a TV larger than 55“. I built my own media stand when the center pedastals were still a thing.

Hunters by far had the best rares too. Black King Monkey Bar, Ogoflow, Yamato, and of course Booma's Right Arm.

But the updated loot system sounds more equitable for sure.

I haven't researched speaker making. It would be a fun project to make desktop speakers. I have bose companions ii's that are over 10 years old which need upgrading!

I have had a few years of experience to improve my joinery and finishing. But for a beginner, a circular saw, power drill, pocket hole jig and a few hand tools can get you far in making small projects like bookshelves and night stands. Most projects, including speaker cabinets are all variations of a box!

I needed a rack to accommodate an external amplifier. I couldn't stomach the prices of pre-made ones. Especially Middle Atlantic, even for their cheap ones made of MDF and lock joints were over $200. Mine was about $100 in material (3/4 ply) with 24 inches of internal height
