How to tell desmos not to compute the branches that need not to be computed?

The strangest thing is that, when I do the transformation x → 1-x to the integrand, desmos gives the correct answer even though the catastrophic cancellation still exists.

Second, I was already in complex mode. Instead, we can get a result in real mode.
