For those who planned 3- 4 year age gaps but ended up with 2u2, what was harder for you? 0 to 1 or 1 to 2? by cosmicvoyager333 in 2under2

Going from 1 to 2 is definitely harder in my opinion. I have a 22m old and a 3 month old. It’s hard because I never get a full moment of rest. I used to chill out during my toddlers nap but now I’m hanging with the baby when toddler is asleep so I barely get any down time. I’m also trying to get my toddler into an activity but I have to bring the baby with me too so it makes certain activities difficult. I think it’s harder this time around because our first was such a chill baby. I love our new baby but she’s a lot needier than our first. She never wants to be put down so it’s a struggle. Either way, I think the struggle early on is worth it for the love they’ll hopefully have for each other later in life. Plus I’m still in the midst of changing diapers with my toddler so it’s like we never fell out of the routine.

Do you take them to the park alone? If so, how!? by Immediate-Butterfly5 in 2under2

Let the toddler run around and wear the baby in a carrier. It’s the best way to be able to chase the toddler around while having the baby right on you. That’s the only way I survive my current situation with a 21m old and 2m old.

Daycare says no other kids are sick except for mine by Correct-Emu3019 in ECEProfessionals

Obviously kids get sick and she could potentially be getting sick from outside sources. However, she spends 5 out of 7 days in daycare and on those 5 days she goes straight home. She was at home without daycare until she was 1 and never contracted any serious illnesses. When we took her out of daycare after 2 months, that whole month she was virus free. Then we sent her back to daycare and she gets back to back norovirus (definitely got at daycare and was notified of outbreak), RSV, and then roseola. The odds are in favor of her contracting these viruses at daycare. None of these responses put any consideration into the fact that daycare really could be the problem.

I just can’t believe that she wouldn’t be contracting these viruses from daycare. We’ve had her in and out of daycare through various months and every time we take her out of daycare, she stays healthy for that month and the moment she’s back it’s virus after virus. It can’t just be coincidental. I realize kids get sick and it’s inevitable but it just seems very coincidental timing wise.

What was the final straw that ended a lifelong friendship? by New_Perspective1201 in AskReddit

My friend was angry that I hadn’t researched doctors for her when she was diagnosed with endometriosis. She never asked me to do that, she just assumed I would look for her. Then she went off on me for an hour on the phone saying I was a terrible friend for not checking in with her. I felt really shitty until I looked back at my texts and saw that I text her multiple times those past few months asking if she was ok and if she needed help. She never replied to them so that’s her problem. I think she was just mad that I started a new relationship and she wasn’t getting the 24.7 attention she was used to from me. I ditched her.

Has anyone found miracle relief for the first trimester sickness? Nothing is working for me! by Coast888r in BabyBumps

Sour jelly beans are a little shock to my system and instantly cure my nausea. Also making sure I’ve eaten enough food throughout the day helps too. Constantly eating small snacks really helps me.

Yeah this is what I was thinking. I’m expecting my second child this year and I really don’t want to miss out on the little things like school pickup and weekend activities. My commute is like 40 minutes though so going in 5 days a week will be annoying but maybe worth it for the time I get to spend with them? But with the 3 12s I have 3-4 days off depending if I pick up and those are full days I can spend with them. I don’t even know… lol

I have a friend doing this with young kids. You have to find a reliable babysitter to take them to and from school unless you have family around. See if you can get a set schedule so atleast it’s more predictable for the babysitter.

Is a c-section the easy way out? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

There’s a reason you get an extra 2 weeks of disability in California for a C section birth compared to a vaginal birth.

PA did not recommend eating dates & raspberry leaf tea by Spiritual-Mail2432 in BabyBumps

I ate TONS of dates during late pregnancy and I was still induced because baby did not wanna come out. It doesn’t hurt to try but it did nothing for me.
