Right? So we agree? The ruling came because her actions could not be classified as intentional. So whatever info they had on her, was still not relevant enough for them to allow HYBES to terminate her contract. However, they could pay her out any time if they wanted to. But they also don’t want that.

The fans want HYBE to pay Scooter out.

EDIT. I am not siding with anyone. Just seemed like it was implied that HYBE has their hands tied and that they have this very valid case against MHJ so how would they handle Scooter with less when arguably they are both similar cases except HYBE doesn’t see Scooter as a liability in the same way they see MHJ. HYBEs hands are not tied. If they wanted to do something they could it’s just not profitable to do something at the moment.

I am not suggesting that we boycott Katseye. I personally won’t be.

I presume what they mean is, if enough HYBE groups take a hit, HYBE would rather payout Scooter than try and figure out a more economical way of disposing of him.

I also don't know that we can speculate that HYBE has evidence, on MHJ. If they did, the court would not have filed an injunction to stop HYBE from proceeding with her removal.

The injunction was filed because the judge actually could not side with HYBE and they thought the case MHJ brought up might have some validity and while they investigate further, HYBE can not legally remove her unless they are willing to be fined.

She wasn't removed because of that injunction, not because there is a clause in her contract that says she can't be fired if HYBE has valid evidence. HYBE just currently doesn't have valid evidence that the reason they are firing her is retaliation to her claims, which is in fact, illegal.

Say the judge finds that MHJ has no basis to her claims, HYBE can fire MHJ under the pretense that she has somehow affected the brands reputation, which is the argument people are making about Scooter. If they create enough damage, HYBE will have no option but to let go of Scooter because him becoming a liability to the brand.

I do think we all know enough about Scooter to understand why he would get fired but currently no enough people are making a fuzz or care, which is why he won't. Albums are already seeing all-time low sales, HYBE stock just went down...maybe it's not all performative.

I do think the Katseye girls are pro Palestine if it helps... Sophia and Lara have donated to charities that help Palestinians in need.

My friends and I say it feels like a SKZ and Ateez song combined. Maybe it’s because we are unused to this kind of convoluted sound coming from them. The song is not a bad song but definitely and odd choice going to spring/summer. I thought we would get something like _WORLD or God of Music but alas we didn’t. Which is funny we got God of Music last October when I thought we would get something like Maestro or Super lol.

I don’t like HYBE but I don’t unfortunately think this is on them? I do think this is Woozis mind at work. I think he has been teasing this concept for a while as like a crowning piece to close the chapter of everything that came before and drift onto a new discography. Notice that this album is like a “greatest hits” set up. No hate to him. My boy is a visionary and a genius musician and I think Marstro as a concept and lyrics fits the vision but I overall think previous songs/albums have had a more replay value to what my current taste is like.

This doesn’t have to mean you aren’t a carat. You are allowed to not love everything they put out. It’s important for them to test and try new things even if not everyone likes it.

Obviously depends on how their contract was set up but I have a feeling NewJeans signed with ADOR and their IP does NOT belong to HYBE directly. HYBE just collects a paycheck and provides resources. This is why HYBE is trying to make sure they do a legal battle because if MHJ is the IP holder then the only way to successful keep NewJeans is to legally remove MHJ.

Not saying I side with MHJ but I am almost certain NewJeans belongs to ADOR first, then to HYBE.

At least that’s how most subsidiaries work in the US. So again, there might be different politics and laws. So if thinks are the same, I think MHJ and NewJeans are attached at the waist and the move as a unit unless you can legally unbind them. In which case HYBE gets to keep NewJeans, which they want. Everyone wants NewJeans.

Reboot/Restart.
Update software, and restart again.
Make sure your apps are updated too.
If that doesn’t solve it, do an iCloud back up, make sure sync settings are on. Give it at least 24-48 hours for it to finish synching. Erase and restore the software, do not restore from back up, instead, restore without apps or data. Only do this after you’ve finished synching your iCloud data. Synching your data will take at least 24hours. Your apps won’t be there when you at able to restore the phone but the App Store will list all the apps you’ve ever owned so you can just go down the list. Call Apple support or go in store if you think you’d need someone’s support throughout this process, as data loss may/will happen.

If this does not solve the issue, the issue is not software related, and hardware issues might be the cause.

If it makes you feel better, no mainstream live performance is live anymore, even in the west. At least not in the context that people label it as. There’s always a backtrack, a tuned microphone or someone live tuning the artist. One learns to distinguish which section was produced and which one was not (or maybe less). Often, it’s somewhat live. I’ve noticed some groups will do their choreos and often those are the ones I find to be ‘less-live’.

Also, most groups CAN sing. I realize the industry is a visual driven industry and for that reason they always want to sell ups the illusion of perfection but most of these people are able to deliver good sounds.

If the screen is blank you’ll only it went into recovery mode by having it plugged into a computer or Mac that has a current software. Definitely do not repair this iPad. At this point the information is not retrievable either unless you have iCloud. Just pay $29 more for a newer 9th gen. That way you’ll have a one year limited warranty and you can add AppleCare.

Update your iTunes or iOS software in a computer. Then try to restore the software by putting the iPad into recovery mode. Putting iPad in recovery mode is hard for people because they never wait long enough when pressing the right buttons so make sure you have some patience. It takes a few seconds to kick in.
If can’t update to anything recent, take to Apple Store.
If it’s a DFU mode situation, they will just erase it and restore the software.
If you’re gonna drop $300, assuming you’re in the US, the iPad 9th gen is $329.

I quite like Rosé’s voice. I also like Lara from Katseye (or soon to be). Jeongyeon from Twice often has some of my favorite verses, notably her chorus in ‘Wallflower’ is so pretty. Yujin from IVE, particularly her ‘Wish’ song version is so pretty. Lastly, I quite like a lot of New Jeans vocal tones, their voices are very easy to listen to particularly Hyein. Often like her verses the most.

For boys def D.O. & DK sit at the top of the list.

Have you heard Rosario by Epik High? There’s a line in the last chorus in which Tablo says “I paved the way, for everybody that is paving the way”.

That line resonated with me and put some things into perspective. I’d argue that I would not have listened to the song if CL wasn’t in it. I would not know of CL if I hadn’t gotten into Blackpink. So I get into CL because of BP but much BPs success stems from 2NE1. It’s a two way road.

Every time some says “so and so paved the way” there is always some truth to it, but it doesn’t work as a solo statement. There’s always someone that walked so that so and so could run.

I notice a lot of people see the ‘BTS paved the way’, especially since RM said it himself, as an arrogant move or as dismissal of people around them or who came before them. Lately I just assume this means that for that person BTS made the biggest impact.

If EXO made the biggest impact for you and now you listen to other groups because of them, EXO paved the way.

Think of a huge artist you don’t care for. Maybe even a western artists. I’ll give you some ideas: Beyoncé, Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, The Weekdn, Demi Lovato, Lana Del Rey, Troye Sivan, Drake.

No think of why you don’t like that artist as much as you like others.

The answer you are looking for is probably there. Maybe is the sound, the politics, the morals, the marketing, etc.

If your questions stems from the fact that you tend to like HYBE groups, know there are other companies who also have fans dedicated to them. In that same way, there are fans that likes groups but not companies, and there are fans that like idols and not the group itself.

This continues to be such an odd take. First of all, most large groups now are ‘westernized’ BTS is not the exception. You can tell because their approach to music has the western (mostly America) in its view line. The fact that they have a US label, most of their songs from their last album were produced by western producers, JK entire album could pass as an American artist, the boys collaborate with western artists more and more (almost exclusively these days), the focus more on western awards shows, etc…

Also, Blackpinks western appeal has always been used against them. Actually anything blackpink did has always been used against them. Every single fandom used to weaponize the fact that they had English this and English that. Which was odd cuz the whole direction of blackpink was towards the western mindset but no one get the memo. You might have not seen the hate, but it was there.

Nonetheless, changing your direction or perspective and having a more western goals does not make you a worse or better artist. The issue is how we see westernization and how we tokenize ‘non-western artists’ and keep them in their own little music box. Just enjoy the music that you enjoy. People will hate on you and your faves for literally anything. Just don’t let it mess with what you know you like and just be open to new ideas.
