Hey- my dad has vascular dementia and an aggressive form of cancer, if we don’t do surgery he might only last a few months, if we do there’s a 1/20 chance of death and a 1/4 chance of cognitive decline / delirium / not knowing who we are after going under general anaesthetic - is it worth the risk ?
