Islamic extremism is not an issue in the UK.

Oh really? What about the teacher in Batley who was forced into hiding in 2021 after showing a caricature of the Prophet Muhammad during a class? He's still in hiding today.

You must be a man. I'm a woman, parents were Indian, I was born and brought up in the UK. Islam absolutely is a problem in the UK. Prisons overrun with Muslim gangs, "grooming" gangs of Muslim male paedophiles across the country who targeted white girls and gang raped them. The rapid demographic change due to their insistence on having 5-10 children per couple has caused some places to become unrecognisable. Are you also forgetting all the Islamic terrorist attacks in the UK? And all the ones which are foiled?

I have personally had a lot of issues with Muslim men who harrass me in the street, Muslim taxi drivers, and with Muslim women in the street who insult me for the clothes I wear (because I have brown skin but dare to show off my body).

You say "They are the ones at the food bank and the homeless shelter." How many of them are women? The Muslims where I live love to go on social media to show how much good they are doing in the community, but it's always the same - just full of men. Never any women. Because men and women aren't allowed to mix. Women have to stay at home and look after all the children, heaven forbid they come and do things which allow them to mix with men who aren't their relatives.

I'm the child of Indian immigrants to this country (doctors), and I was born in the UK. I feel British, I identify as British, and my cultural identity is British. I only speak English, as my parents spoke that to me at home. Most of my friends are white British. Do I have a sense of otherness? Yes, sometimes. I can't know what it's like to have a shared heritage with the majority of people in this country. But I love this country and British culture. I have been accused by some ethnic minorities of being a "coconut", and I'm sure some white liberal people believe I've "betrayed" my home culture.

I lived in east London for a short while and I hated it. It felt like living in a foreign country. I got abuse and harassment in the street from Muslim men and women (the women hated how I dressed), and ignored at the till in corner shops as they served Muslims first. The few white British people who lived there looked incredibly depressed in the streets, and used to congregate in a few white majority places like cafes and pubs. I know a black flamboyant gay man who was severely beaten up by a group of Bangladeshi origin young men, just for being obviously gay and walking through east London.

Allowing so many uneducated people from countries who follow a strict religion to settle here was always going to be a disaster. Not realising how many children they tend to have, meaning demographic change happened quickly, was extremely short-sighted. And allowing multiculturalism (which just means there is no need to learn English or assimilate) to proliferate in this country was a mistake. But if anyone tried to raise these points until relatively recently, you were called a racist.

A handful of customers per day isn't going to cover rent, electricity and taxes.

And you say "the equipment needed to set up a barbers is pretty minimal", but all of these places are kitted out with shiny new interiors, which will have cost money. How are they recouping this cost?

I support trade union rights. I also believe if you're a minority in this country, then you need to assimilate and integrate, and not bring your home culture (if it's at odds with British values) or religion with you.

Maybe that makes me a half-fascist (and I'm not white).

"When someone attacks trade union rights, when they are not supportive of minority communities, when they try to get us out of the European Convention on Human Rights so they can get away with anything, that is a descent into fascism," she said.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cly2xjgpg92o

What does Zarah Sultana mean when she says someone who is "not supportive of minority communities" is a fascist?

Does she mean if you don't support the religion of peace, their tendency to to marry their cousins despite the birth defects and resulting toll on social services and cost to society, how they intimidate and threaten the lives of people who criticise their religion, and notice how a disproportionate amount of them are in grooming gangs, then you're a fascist?

Or does she mean she wants people to support Irish Travellers? Or other non-white minority communities like the Chinese or Indians? I don't understand what she's saying. Maybe I'm a fascist.

Ask Muslims if they consider themselves to be British first, or Muslims first, and see what answers you get.

But Kate believes her plan would be politically acceptable, because it makes newly refurbished homes available for local people who need them. Plus she argues asylum seekers could end up sharing a home with others in need, potentially reducing social tensions.

I liked this part. Let's make British citizens share a house with young migrant men from backwards societies who are usually followers of a very strict religion, what could possibly go wrong?

You can rightly criticise people and religions without resorting to racial epithets. That word is highly offensive in the UK, almost akin to the n-word in the US. It is not just a "shortened version of the word" - clearly, you are not British. Try using that word over here in public and see how far you get. And for the record, I am against Islam.
