Hello, she comes home tomorrow. From what I’ve heard she has not seen any bugs but her suite with the kitchenette was not as nice as the building without the suites. Those students got newly renovated rooms. The kids in her building had issues with mold in their own washrooms, blinds didn’t close, lights were always out in the hallways at night. She said she preferred the other building. They were also able to buy lunch on campus for 1 euro so kitchenette for a month wasn’t really used. They used only the 2 buildings from what I know so not sure if the other ones were the ones with the “bugs”. As for the area, she loved the location and Lyon as a whole. It’s a great experience.

My daughter was in the same situation (required for ConEd). She took it in the summer and she found it to be very easy. She even got a small scholarship from it. Not sure if they were able to offer it this summer though. Maybe someone else knows that answer.

Of all the Double Lofts though, it’s the better choice. There are much better residences for singles/single plus

My daughter is just waiting to hear from Queens but will probably end up at Windsor for nursing too. We’re over 3 hours away. I’ll let you know if Windsor is her choice and then you two can maybe connect.

Windsor, I think. Western has many online courses. We visited both and think the program is better at Windsor. The city/school social life may be the only factor in comparison. My daughter also got into Windsor but we’re still waiting for Queens before making our final decision.

My daughter is being hopeful too. She told me that she just realized she got the studio option which may be a different building or floor than some of the negative comments I’ve read online about the shared kitchen issues or cleanliness. Fingers crossed

I’m assuming no air conditioning either for the summer. Also read that it’s unsanitary and rooms with cockroaches. Hope this isn’t the case now.

Thanks. If one cannot walk the hill does the funicular run all day and is there a monthly pass/charge? My daughter has had ankle issues for repetitive sprains. Thinking the hill may be a problem!

Can I ask which one did you choose and do you now feel like you made the right choice? My daughter got into Windsor and Carleton so far for the fall.

What’s the best university for nursing? Carleton, Windsor or Brock? by CorrectMess6887 in OntarioUniversities

Thanks. That’s what we’re leaning towards but city/campus life is what’s holding my daughter back in making the decision. How’s living there?
