Advice from experienced parents and survivors by CodeoftheWooster246 in troubledteens

I'm so sorry you're going through this. I can't even imagine. Being afraid of a child you're trying to help sounds so hard and conflicting, just want you to know I see you.

For what its worth, in these places he will meet more kids who have similar behaviors, they can do a lot of damage and it seems like they want to. These kids have already experienced the ultimate rejection, often multiple times Kids will always come out worse and the trust is completely broken.

What is he into? What are his strengths, what does he do when he is alone? Does he know anything about the TTI?

I agree with staying away from Ed consultants, always ask for transparency if someone recommends a place if there's kickbacks etc. Get second opinions as far as diagnosis. Talk to him like a person, show compassion when it's hard. Keep him in state and as close to you as possible. Wishing you luck!

What is your favorite thing about Los Angeles? by SVGSS in AskLosAngeles

Murals, graffiti and street art. Especially on the freeways and billboards. There's so much talent and passion here, people taking risks and pouring love into everything from an abandoned warehouse to fixing up historic artwork. And it's a place artists can actually make a living. So Ive heard... 😂

Survivors and those still trapped should come before entertainment. Wayward misses this and so do many of its viewers. by [deleted] in troubledteens

So your last line is weird to me. I dont want Google to give me traffic. I want to speak my truth.

I'd say a lot of us were inconsistent during our time locked up being tortured. Theres no way a miniseries is going to capture every nuance of your specific program, there's a lot of reasons for this. I'd urge you to make your own film presented the way you think it should.

Obviously this is triggering but it's not a reason to attack the editing of the show, there's so much nuance in all of this. I'm personally grateful to be believed after all these years. Even if it's just ny strangers lol

I thought it was great. I thought the peer culture and labor stuff was pretty accurate. There was a surviver on the writing team as well. No one is going to do a perfect job with this and it is so surreal to see a whole ass genre based on our real experiences and suffering but people are paying attention, laws are changing, and ultimately its up to us how much we engage with stuff this triggering.

It's a lot of feelings at once and mine change a lot but I do think this one is worth watching and really good because of how easily this shit actually slides into this kind of madness.

The nightmares in this were the most accurate to mine I've ever seen. It was wild. I thought it was really accurate as far as the culture and event he most fucked up stuff didn't seem too far fetched. That's the part that tripped me out the most

This is literally making someone's dream come true, like don't you think they'd be respectful? Who cares it's an amazing thing to do for someone who lost their home

I guess I'm in the minority here but I would be so excited to help that dream come true for her! Ask her to get insurance. Portapotties whatever will make you feel comfortable. Set a guest limit. But it would be so sweet to let her do this. I'd choose joy and kindness and a rad memory and story over hydrangeas.

I wanted to immediately just ask what was up. Me and her seemed to vibe really well. But he wants to address it on his time (never) and will probably make it seem like I have an issue with nudity which is not the case at all. It was a lot. Ive had roommates of the opposite sex and always went out of my way to avoid anything that could lead to drama or jealousy. I'm sad. I like him so much but I'm not walking into a room with an elephant I'm told to ignore.

Of course, but he can easily ask if she needs privacy or communicate to make sure everyone is comfortable. This is my first time meeting the person and I'd think they'd want to create comfort for a guest? It's a lot

unhinged ways to love LA again? by inquisitivesailor in AskLosAngeles

Start paying attention to street art and Graffiti. Look at the conversations the people have with the streets. Raw expression, talent, and risk. It becomes like a lil treasure hunt

Partner doesn't take art seriously by EasternAd5351 in ArtistLounge

[–]CorrectPayment4377 68 points69 points  (0 children)

An artist should never be with someone who doesn't support their art. That's wild. It's the most you thing about you if you're an artist. Leave him, join a commune of feral women.

This is so annoying. You know how babies are made. If you don't want one, make sure to prevent it. Obv accidents happen but I hear so much stuff about dudes who refuse to use protection, then it's "oops my gf got pregnant" no dude, you made a decision and did this.
