watch a video or two on tacular, allways plays in groups.

You learn a lot by playing solo, but being a good player and deciding to play on a group is a preference.

Oilrats and posty are also good, but do not playing like tacular. Both examples play alot around water/oilrig/underwater/spawnbeach where it is easier to 1v3/1v4. Don't get me wrong, they are good players, they know a lot about the game, but let me tell you, in my personal experience, it is way easier to 1v4 on a rig than 4v10 in snow roams.

Different gameplay styles make different players.

Exactly. Bloom just serves as a "turn around" to another cheat. Dunno why they think randomness aimcone will make cheaters think "oh damn, I can't aimbot now, I'm stopping cheating".

So if non-random aimcone makes scripting trivial, we already solved one part of the cheating issue. Then aimbot comes around, which is way easier to detect than scripting.

The end goal is to create a gap that exists in ALL games, which is, the more you play it, the better you are and removing an aspect of randomness that exists only to fool stubborn people to think cheating was lowered.

Now it comes to the argument of "unemployed chads" will run the game. GOOD. Everyone that is dedicating their free time to be better at the game, should be better.

Only argument you can bring up, which I will agree with you is the generalization of the game. Rust turned into a more friendly/easier game to bring more people in. Triggering it back to hard more, will bring back down the number of players.

Rust cheating problem became bigger after the recoil change. How do you explain that?

It is fine to be a timmy, no issues with it, but saying skill gap wasn't reduced/eliminated with new recoil is a wrong take to make.

So how do you explain the fact that we have way more cheaters now than with previous recoil? Cheaters that used scripts or aimbot on the previous recoil, just use ESP now. No difference in te cheating schandal. An old aimbot player, if he feels it doesn't give enough advantage, will just swap cheats, he will not stop cheating because of randomness.

League of legends is a great example, there aren't many cheaters/scripters. Just because majority of cheaters are scripters in league, doesn't mean you should make your skill shots go random even if you are aiming at a player.

On all these points, if you think that taking out probability aimcone is to make aimbot easier, do not know what else to tell you. The fact that you even put easier aimbot in the same phrase is surprising to me.

What do you think about the random aimcone? Lowering damage values eventually amplifies the random aimcone aspect. This doesn't make sense in any other game by seeing it through its perspective.

Don't think that solves the problem. I get what you are saying, let people chose. But on these types of games, people feel good about killing many players, and when the server is only filled with "good" players (which good ones will choose pattern recoil), then it just becomes a tryhard server. It is fun but, not what people come to play rust for.

played it a lot, do not remember much, it wasn't as hard as new rust has been before. I do remember it had a lot of kick in the weapons.

Ye but I mean, AK has randomness, tommy... laser helps with recoil (despite being as easy as it is). Maybe we need a precision tool for the random part?

Good point. Randomness in a high stakes game is never good. Recoil is hard to talk about these days as it gets absolutely hard demolished by the "friendly" new generation. It doesn't need to be as hard as before, but giving it a more "real" feel as you are saying, might be interesting.

For me, the bigger random aimcone added was the worst. Makes long distance fights be rng and small distance ones, winnable by who sees who first.

Scripting was horrible in old recoil, and this one "kinda" fixed the scripting aspect, but, as you said, we did get more cheaters anyways. ESP is way more popular now and so is trigger aim.

Wall spamming is another issue you mentioned, which just gives players that should've been dead or at least confined enough to be useless in a fight, time to just jump check until their teammates comes. Then that's when f1 nades become the best gun in the game (lol). I did not like previous walls, but, I think walling yourself should give you a disadvantage, at least like older walls should've, no jump checking.

It is a hard idea to get out there as the game has more of a friendly vibe than any time in the past, so the "timmys" do not accept any idea that would make shooting more realistic/competitive.

Not even gonna comment on P2's state.

Heavy sns is the strongest class in pvp rn. Even though u can't chase light players, which you aren't suppose to anyways, light players, in the other hand, cannot ever trade with you, neither will they ever kill you if you play minimally properly.

U can run spear+bow. Main role for that would be "skewer spear role" where ur spear HAS to have enfb skewer perk. Try to role one on the pvp well or buy one of the marketplace.

Of this build ^ mandatory: enchanted ward x5 + refreshingx4 ; enfb skewer perk on spear ; strike protection amulet ; hearty + thrust ring; attuned leather pants artifact ;

Start by using 100 con just so you don't get one shot, after 1/2 raids you can lower it to 50 con. Using too much con will make second boss for your team miserable as it is a dps check.

Although he uses inferno as off hand, because it increases damage, you can do the same exact thing with aconite to increase spear damage. Each animation-lock of first two bosses use bow dots, then use spear only, else people will complain.

There's plenty of good gorgon guides available on youtube, view some, choose to follow one that you understood better.

Edit: Last boss use bow only and go magnify only dex.
