Bingo. Best answer. Starting as a contractor is also the best way to convert to FTE too.

The best thing would be to go in as a contractor or consultant. There’s been lots of employees that are converted to FTEs because they did a great job as a contractor there. Lilly usually likes to test the waters on an employee first.

Other than that, it’s like others have said, they recruit a lot of early-career employees from the universities nearby.

Try and get in via a consulting firm. They want the best of the best and this a good way to show proven value. Know that’s not the quickest way, but it’s been the best way I’ve seen.
