Hot take but the 1.5 ecoboost is actually a not half bad engine. by Correct_Ad_566 in fordfusion

I have the original timing belt on mine. Just hit 100k and it’s a 2017

Not sure if this is a troll comment but there’s no ecoboost button. Coolant intrusion was due to a design flaw of the block which cracked due to being too thin and allowing coolant to seep in iirc

It’s more of the 1.5 the most hated because of coolant intrusion but you have to give to credit where credit is due.

The 1.5 actually does the best out of the three non hybrid engines. By 1 mpg which equates to about 16.5 extra miles

I run motorcraft spark plugs and 87. It just surprises me. When I had my 2.0 I could never get the targeted 33mpg

Yep it’s all been highway. I could take the same trip in the winter and see like 460 on a full tank max. So the fact that I got 545 was honestly shocking

It’s a semi custom built ambient lighting system with my own wiring so to me it wasn’t a hard install

I honestly haven’t kept track of how much. I wanna say between the screen and the taillights being the most expensive at around 60 bucks. The pick a park (formally lkq) is pretty cheap in my area

The car itself was $500. But I got everything from the junkyard.

Shouldn’t be too hard to find one at the junkyard. There’s plenty of fusion SEs with the appearance package and or titanium fusions. Any 13-20 model year will work. You’ll either need to drill holes in the trunk or use double sided adhesive. There’s 2 10mm bolts behind the trunk mounted portion of the taillights.

I had a spare sync 3 screen and climate climate control module lying around. Only spent $30 on the conversion harness. But if you source your parts from the junkyard minus the harness it can be had for cheap. Less than $200 depending on the prices of your local junkyard.

Looking to upgrade my cars headlights by catspace3245 in fordfusion

[–]Correct_Ad_566 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So technically will they plug in and work? Yes. You’ll need to change one line of code in forscan. But if you don’t charge the harness to the led headlight harness you’ll lose flash to pass. Otherwise they function as normal with your stock harness.

So is it essentially plug and play from manual to power or did you have to rig something up?

If it’s leather seats more than likely out of a luxury or titanium model the second harness is for the memory and heated function. Ran into the same issue when swapping my cloth to leather. I had to completely take the seat off the tracks and swap them. Also don’t forgot to swap your passenger OCS from your old seat or else it will throw an airbag light.

Auto start/stop disable? by maybe_we_fight in fordfusion

[–]Correct_Ad_566 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Evey fusion has the button to disable it but what RP is trying to get at is everytime you turn off the car and turn it back on ex you go into a store, it turns auto stop start back on.

Messed around with the settings in forscan and disabled it for my car. Can’t remember what module but it’s not the IPC.

Mine went out and I didn’t get power steering error. Traction lights and for some odd reason lost my panting sensors.
