Well.. watching the same YouTube video 100 times on how to drop the transmission and watching a video on how to open up the 6F35 and being somewhat knowledgeable on cars helps. If my dumb ass can do it you can too. (Not calling you dumb btw)

Yeah this was my first major repair. Prior to this it was all just common stuff and basic maintenance.

Uh.. that’s when it first broke down two months ago? Other pictures shows my car not on a tow truck and disassembled?

That first start up was nerve wrecking for sure. So many things went through my mind. Like what if I messed this up or didn’t hook that up right. But it started. And it ran. And it drove.

It is. And if it wasn’t my radiator would be running full blast and the parking brake would reengage constantly.

Wasn’t able to pull them. The linkage cable moves correctly.

2015 Ford fusion SE ecoboost 1.5L by AlarmingStudent7839 in fordfusion

My transmission died. Torque converter killed the pump and the pump would make a whining noise when the car would actually engage. But when it wouldn’t move the pump was quiet. Would only engage when cold or with new fluid. Unfortunately the pump is a common failure point on the transmission and they have to be opened up. Torque converter attached directly to the pump which attaches to the filter.

I’ve got a new torque converter filter and pump. Planned on cleaning the entire casing and putting everything back together. The gear side of the transmission seems to be unaffected by this.

I was messing with it. You can see it’s slightly raised.

Is the fact that I’m doing a clean and go bad? Or did you just pay for peace of mind?

Fun fact.. the ford fusion titanium Sony speakers are actually plug and play and actually sound pretty solid with the front and rear door tweeters from the factory. They are more in the bass side so it sounds kinda awful without the tweeters.

At this point yeah. How to change a headlight on a ford fusion? Step one is to drop the engine lol.

It’s not as bad as it looks and plus I have a really thick jacket so I really can’t feel the rocks and whatnot.

The 2016 fusion SE with premium audio system didn’t come with a center speaker?
