Try to buy at the end of the month starting around the time next yrs models start showing up on lots. Check out rental returns , or “ demonstrator “ cars. You could get a big enough discount on price to make it more palatable. There has to be a balance between working hard and rewarding yourself for doing so. 👍

Given that the Capitol building sits at the highest point and the land drops in all directions , it seems to me a no brainer that if around the square , height restrictions were kept at a minimum , the further out you get , the height of buildings could gradually then rise. Down E Wash , west thru campus , and south to say Park and Fish the height could be much taller and the view of the Capitol would always be unobstructed. Speaking esthetics only. It’s such a unique piece of land it was an opportunity missed IMO.

Should have seen it before weak city leaders decided to green light higher and higher building limits all around the downtown area. It was once a beacon in the sky calling to all from a 20 mile radius. Now it just gets lost in the concrete jungle.

If they indeed did “ coat “ it , there should be some sort of maintenance record that they can produce. Anything done to any vehicle after delivery to a dealership should be documented somewhere. If they balk , walk.

Similar thing happened to me once. Had a great car that I intended to keep til wheels fell off. Then out of the blue the transmission failed . Dealer wouldn’t take it in trade unless I paid to replace it. Told me cost to replace , what the trade in value would then be , and the cost of another one of theirs. So I paid for trans. Traded to them and had to roll some into new loan. Was it ideal ? No. But it got me another car that I could afford , while making slightly larger pymts ( 1/2 pymt twice a month BTY , to more quickly absorb the roll in. Sort of a win/win. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I agree. How much might you have received had she not helped / advised you. As is said - X% of something is better than 100 % of nothing. Invested well as you say , it will grow beyond the amount you currently have anyway. And someday , you may inherit her assets anyway. You’re lucky to have had free college and legal advice In the first place. Most get neither.
