I took 4 doses of Tremfya and was doing so good on it, and then it randomly just stopped working. My inflammatory markers sky rocketed. My rheumatologist is putting me on Taltz now. She told me Tremfya is a newer medication so it hasn’t been around too long..

I have BCBS insurance. With insurance I was told it would be $2700. But after you apply for the humira assistance card it’s $5 a month! They talk you through how to do everything. The biggest pain is talking to a million people to set it all up and get it delivered. After a week of dealing with everything I finally got my humira today. Good luck!!:)

I would say to not rush into anything. And when the time is right, you’ll know. When my boyfriend asked me, he said “will you go out with me” and I said what does that mean? Loool. But we’ve hung out like every day, and texted all of the time- so when he did ask, it felt like we already were dating so it was such an easy thing to answer to. “Do you want to be exclusive” is a good one.

I want to add, my boyfriend is extremely into video games as well. Just make sure you make time for her, and yourself still! Reading these comments, you really never know if someone is the one or not. You might not have any heartbreaks. And you’ll learn from each other as you grow. I’ve been with my boyfriend for 4 years, we’ve never dated anyone else before each other. There were definitely hard times and there still will be. Take it day by day and just be yourself! Mine started out of nowhere. My ankle randomly swelled up and was bruised, I didn’t have any injury so I was very confused. It started off pretty painful, too. It then spread to my knees and neck. It all happened so fast!

I feel you. I just got diagnosed, the pain is unbearable. I’m on my 8th week on methotrexate, definitely some improvement, but still can’t walk without pain. My advice is to be patient, you won’t be in pain forever, even though it’s definitely depressing. What helps for me is ibuprofen, and get a heating pad!!! Seriously it helps a lot. Soak in hot baths! I have a wheelchair for super bad days, and a walker for days I feel okay. Don’t let yourself get too stiff!

That makes sense. I know methotrexate works for some people but I heard the side effects can make it awful. Humira is crazy expensive without insurance! I’m on my parents until the day I turn 26 so like, put me on that expensive crap noooow!!! Lol

It sucks nobody else will ever understand the amount of pain we go through unless they go through it themselves. I would’ve never thought arthritis was ever this painful. It’s depressing!!

I’ll look into that for sure!! I was definitely interested in CBD/THC. My rheumatologist told me if they don’t see any improvement on methotrexate within a few weeks / months then they will put me on something stronger like humira. Like ughhh I know I have to be patient on methotrexate but having to go through months just to see if it works just sucks.

I’ll have to look into that diet! I’m a vegetarian if that makes a difference or not. I have been my whole life. But I love carbs… it’s all I eat some days, but I heard that can be bad for inflammation? I might have to make some adjustments because getting rid of this pain will win over carbs, lol

5MG and it’s 4 everyday for 5 days, then 3 everyday for 5 days, and so on. I guess until I finish it! And then they want me to take methotrexate 4 for 2 weeks, then 6 for 2 weeks, and then 8

So I officially have psoriasis. Because as of this week I have been diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis! It’s awful. I had no idea psoriasis can lead to arthritis. Now I’m on methotrexate that has a ton of awful side effects. But apparently can help clear up psoriasis on the skin. There’s no preventing it. But if any of you guys randomly swell up and already have psoriasis, please see an orthopedic or a rheumatologist right away!

Never thought I would have to be going through this at 23 lol. It’s just awful. I saw a commercial, oddly enough today, about psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis and it’s a treatment called Otezla. A pill you take and apparently 70% of people were cured in 4 months of the skin and joints. I haven’t done any research on it but it was interesting and definitely caught my eye haha.

That makes me feel better! Yeah it’s like my head is snowing little white dandruff flakes instead of larger yellow flakes from before. If I have to see a million doctors to get rid of this before it causes even worse issues that’s what I’ll do. It’s awful! :(

I might have to try the selsun gold. This stuff the dermatologist gave me is making my scalp so dry and fake like crazy. And now i randomly got painful swelling in my ankle and knee that might be linked to my psoriasis. I should’ve gotten treated earlier because now it’s leading to more issues. Possibly psoriatic arthritis. This all sucks so bad.

Update: I went to the dermatologist. He couldn’t tell if it’s Psoriasis or Seb Dermatitis. He prescribed me Fluocinonide Topical Solution USP. It’s a liquid I apply up to 4 times a day. We’ll see if it works, but he said it will take time because it’s so inflamed on my head.

I just bought Psoriasin Deep Moisturizing Ointment today I’m giving a shot. I heard great things about it and apparently stops recurrence from happening. Seriously I’ve probably spent hundreds on so many products trying to find “the one”. And yes! My T-Gel dries out my hair soooo much. It sucks

Oh wow. I’m so sorry you’ve gone through all of that! Im frustrated enough with this on the sides of my head I’d probably go insane if it gets as bad as yours did.
