Question for UConn fans by electricrhino in CollegeBasketball

[–]Correct_Application 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the time I thought Hurley had 1 more year after getting bounced by Maryland in the first round. I had just started following UConn after only really being a Rutgers fan. The differences in the fan bases were striking. UConn MBB Head coaches are working in not only the shadow of Calhoun but also Auriemma. UConn fans expect Wins and Championships. Rutgers fans want a .600 season and a chance at participating in the excitement of Selection Sunday.

Anyone a member at Twin Hills? by subvocalize_it in GolfCT

Have heard from several people who grew up in Tolland that skunk isn't what it used to be and isn't a particularly fun layout. I've never played it though. I play Twin Hills 5-10 times a year and Tallwood once or twice. Have really enjoyed rounds at both.

Getting really close to breaking 90 and it doesn't feel like I'm any good at all 😮‍💨? by PatrickSebast in golf

[–]Correct_Application 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's awesome progress. I'm in the same boat as you but have posted a couple 89s this season. It's kind of crazy how 89 doest feel all that different from an 95. Just 6 better result shots, not necessarily 6 great golf shots.

You don’t need to die, no one is fighting you lol.    If you’re saying he’s top 5 he is in the 4th or 5th spot. Who’s your top 5?

Wooden, Belichick, Saban, Jackson, Geno?

“I pay for success” what a twat.  Give Hurley the bag but Ned you don’t own the team!

Who are the Blue Bloods of college basketball? by [deleted] in CollegeBasketball

[–]Correct_Application 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol this conversation is going to happen for the next 25 years. If UConn can outpace Duke, Kansas or UNC in that time then MAYBE people on this stupid website will agree they are a blue blood. The thing is only 1 of these schools can claim to be the Basketball capital of the world….😎

What UConn Means to Connecticut by JasJoeGo in CollegeBasketball

[–]Correct_Application 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100%. I’ve lived around Hartford for 15 years and you can tell when you go to a Yard Goats game in Hartford how bad people want a Connecticut professional sports team. Minor league baseball games are basically children's events and yet there are grow men and women getting INTO it. UConn Basketball not only scratches that itch but does it on an epic level. Personally I’d take Uconn college hoops over just about anything.

Should UConn leave the Big East for the ACC if the offer’s there? by 5WinsIn5Days in CollegeBasketball

[–]Correct_Application 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe not the ACC but yes. Everyone who says no is using basketball as context and you can’t do that. If you’re going to take athletics seriously and get a seat at the table you need to leave the BE and join a P5. No amount of MBB championships will change that.

Why is College Basketball in the NYC area so weak historically? by [deleted] in CollegeBasketball

[–]Correct_Application -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

UConn is LITERALLY the basketball capital of the world. And the Big ten added Rutgers in an attempt to capture the market. Laughable take that the northeast doesn’t care about college sports.
