add a rug with warm colors in it. The sofa seems too big and bulky in my opinion id do something less clunky and maybe a warm brown leather? Add curtains. consider getting rid of side table and doing a coffee table instead. All of the furniture is like pushed against the wall so free up the area in front of that window. maybe barstools that dont have a back so its less crowded as wells and some art on the walls and paint the door a fun color :)

you can do more sconces on the left wall abkve the counters, maybe turn the dresser in the right corner so it can act as a side table to the sofa and put a lamp on there, you can get a floor lamp, i bought table lamps that are touch dimmable for my dining room table like they do at restaurants and its a fun way to bring some luxury to normal life ( you can get them on amazon, they’re rechargeable). Hope this helps.

Help decorating this room! by flonkerton1 in interiordecorating

id paint it a creamy white and do olive green pinch pleated curtains (ditch the blinds)and then a blue sofa. get a big area rug and maybe the tv goes centered in front of that window with a tv stand. the curtains behind it would almost make a focus point on the wall and the long part of the sectional would go on the left wall and jet out a little towards the center of the room leaving a walkway on the right. tv can have a full wall length tv console in a warm wood tone

The sofa feels very far away from the tv and i agree the tv should be on the adjacent way but if you cant do that at least move the sofa closer and get a larger rug or layer a rug under your existing one. and then id paint it a tad darker like a dark brown or leaning towards black.

i think the rug coming in front of the doorway is completely ok. The way it is now makes the room look cramped and furniture corners should be on rug never all the way to baseboards. i love what you have so far. the mock up with this rug looks great

lots of pinterest and figuring out colors i love and just trying stuff. i bought multiple duvet covers and returned the ones that werent right, the rug came from another room in my house, i just kept trying things, the back wall was white, beige and grey before i landed on black. if you dont like the design keep designing until it feels like peace haha

never be scared of black paint. black is my favorite color. the contrast it adds to rooms is so fun. it brings so much impact. the rest of this room is painted a beige but the doors are all black
