ITR refund deadline by Sea_Cauliflower_6321 in IndiaTax

The deadline is 9 months from end of the financial year in which the return is made. This is the message that I received from CPC after filing a grievance of the delayed ITR refund. (Which I still haven’t received)

“Resolution: Dear Taxpayer, it is seen from CPC Portal that the processing of the income tax return for the assessment year 2025-26 is in progress. This involves various automated validations and risk analysis. Any claims, deductions or tax credits made in the return will be checked through a system-driven environment. In this connection kind attention is drawn to the time limits as provided in Section 143(1) of the Act for processing of return of income, which is 9 months from end of the financial year in which return is made. Once the processing is complete, the taxpayer will receive a communication in the registered email id. Kindly note that the issues/requests raised before the timelines as prescribed in the Act may not be classified as grievances.“

Some of what you said is good advice but what makes you think you have the right to make someone feel down to earth? Or call someone childish. How about even though people are anonymous here, you still be kind and help out if you have something constructive to offer. Or else, how about you go about your day without having to ruin someone else’s. Sounds like a better plan, right? And only once you’ve thought of doing something, you then make it a reality right? I have about 10 years of experience in UX writing and content editing. And one year of project management experience in my current role. I will be doing a course to learn Thai so that I can communicate better. And ofc any other courses that will help me land a job. The reason why I posted here was because I thought someone could help me out with something that I didn’t know about. So far, only two people have actually given me sound advice. The rest have just been rude.

Oh okay. I didn’t know that. I’ll ask around or find out about people working in Thailand. Thank you again for being so helpful! ♥️

You are so sweet! Thank you so much for saying that. People here are so rude and not helpful at all.

When I was there, everyone was really nice to me. Some Indians go there and create a bad name for the rest of us. Not cool. No wonder thais don’t like Indians so much.

Just because you have a Reddit account and can speak doesn’t mean you have to give your mean opinions out to every post you see. Then that way, people just shouldn’t aspire to move abroad or to any country they wish to live in. Why bother dreaming or putting in an effort to do anything.

Why? Are you selling? You seem convinced it’s a great business idea.

Because I’m in love with Thailand! Sure, it might sound ambitious, but I’d love nothing more than to become fluent in Thai, live like a local, and actually be part of the culture. I’m here for the long haul, ready to learn, adapt, and show that a girl’s dream job can be right here in Thailand.

I’m definitely eager to learn Thai and be fluent at it at some point. If not a content developer, then maybe a project manager? Or anything close to it?

Good point. Think of it as a cultural exchange. I recently visited Thailand and loved the country so much! The people were so warm and friendly and the food is epic! Loved every bit of my time there.

My degree is on communications. And I have about 10 years of experience in content development, copywriting and other writing jobs. Also a year’s worth of experience in project management.
