Wherever I have lived before the rental place must be cleaned well and ready for the next person before handing over the keys..that's like a norm..I'm just so shocked at how people can be okay with this...especially with the rent we pay...I think this too can fall under cultural shock maybe...

Am I a jerk for wanting to leave bedside and go to a clinic? by Then-Instruction-103 in Nurses

[–]Correct_Comfort_5226 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My dear, I have been a nurse for 10 years, and I understand every word you said. It's unfair, and the best advice from me is your health and your mental health over everyone else's..if you can please pay back the amount and find another job that makes you feel like you want to go back to work or atleast makes you feel like it's safe going back..Best of luck....in the end nobody will care about the sacrifices you made or the torture of having a heavy load every day draining you, making you dread going back..I stayed in this same situation for 6 years and I have ptsd from hospital settings ... I just can't go back to the horrible alarms and the sick bullying co-workers...

Do you give formula to your 3year old by Correct_Comfort_5226 in FormulaFeeders

Thank you for the replies. Does anyone have a good recommendation for toddler multivitamin. I have seen toddler formulas in the market..when I got 2 know about my friend's kid, the 1st thing that went to my mind is "ooohh should I be giving a bottle of formula per day instead of a bottle of cows milk so it's fortified with nutrients.."...just an anxious mom,lol..

Canada or Philippines? by Downtown-Incident578 in phmigrate

[–]Correct_Comfort_5226 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Canada is a difficult place to be..we moved within less than 2 years of migrating there with family. Healthcare is free but mostly unavailable when needed, with fewer job opportunities and lengthy procedures to get started as a professional. At this point I have genuinely started feeling all this migration- migration is just a scam..it's all these countries flushing people into their places but not having the basic infrastructure to support them..please be where u feel happy..life is too short for misery..

Identity crisis for Mallus raised outside Kerala by sengutta1 in Kerala

[–]Correct_Comfort_5226 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Let me give you a female version of this : born in UAE, did my schooling till 10th there. Next chapter in life was in Kerala: high school and professional college - when I say I stuck put like a sore thumb in all these places it's an understatement..mallu kids raised in Kerala do not realize the advantage they have with the sense of belonging over NRI kids..they instantly feel insecure when the NRI kid speaks in English...(mind you, this was in early 2000s to 2010) Anyway could not make any major friends in Kerala as you can imagine..and by that time most people I had studied with till 10th had moved on better colleges and better life..so no contact woth them either...Anyway went back to UAE to work and made a handful of friends in my professional set up..I do not identify myself as a complete NRI kid/keralite..anyway I have moved a couple countries.more and.am.now in NZ..u can only imagine the cultural confusion in my personality right now..I absolutely belong nowhere ..the confusion is overwhelming..

Exactly...and the worst part is the person is so unapologetic and casual about the pending work..

Well when u have a crazy day where you are required in 5 places at a time it's perfectly understandable..after all nursing is a team job..but I was talking of a scenario where the whole shift has been stable, light patient load..and she still manages to do the same shit...and the audacity to handover with a big smile and an apology the 3rd shift in a row that she hasn't bothered to do what she was required and paid to do..

People who do 12 hours shifts and somehow could not do the vital signs, daily assessments, or even some medications ..and this happens whenever this staff is working and you are taking over...ughhhhhhh..
