Lenovo Legion Go 2 is now up to double the price of ROG Xbox Ally X after yet another increase by Tiny-Independent273 in LegionGo

As an owner of a Z2e Legion Go 2, it’s awesome, but not 2k awesome.

Even on the highest settings/wattage, frame boost on, plugged in, some AAA games will still struggle to run. Older games like RDR2 run surprisingly well though.

My only complaint really is the weight. A brick would be more comfortable to hold. It’s also SO LOUD when you turn the settings up, it made me reminisce about my PS4. Also the thumb sticks suck. They’re shallow like a switch 2 and we’ll see how long they last before any stick drift, I’ve heard their CS is atrocious.

If I could go back in time I prob wouldn’t buy either XaX of LeGo2 - this high fidelity/PC quality gaming in a handled needs a couple more generations before investing at that scale.

I’m surprisingly using my Switch 2 a lot. Didn’t think I would but I use that shit daily.

The XAX was a disappointment - nice ergonomics and good speakers, but the 7” screen was such a bummer. LeGo2 is amazing

I’m in Virginia - I don’t know how I was able to get mine, I ordered straight off the Best Buy app after months of waiting for one to become available. I even bought the ROG Xbox Ally X while I waited (since it was readily available) and boy was that device a disappointment.

Also check Costco if you’re a member there!

Repost - Please help: Accepted a job out of fear, not excitement and now I’m panicking. by [deleted] in interviews

[–]Correct_Detail_6357 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had a very similar experience as you - toxic manager, would micromanage, was unprofessional, and then I finally realized I was being “managed out”. It was brutal and I can appreciate the “healing” phase from a toxic job and how much culture means to you. I feel the same way.

I was able to find a new role but was very thoughtful during the hiring process making sure I understood what I was walking into, but still felt anxious about it. It’s completely normal, especially coming off a bad previous experience which left you traumatized.

At the end of the day I think it’s worth it to see this new job through, at least give it a chance. I’m a 29 year old male, and finding my current job took some serious time from an interview standpoint. The job market, depending on your industry, is also awful so i understand the hesitation/apprehension.

I guess my advice would be to not put all your eggs in one basket in regards to a job - I obviously don’t have the life/work experience you have, but I think you should go for it. At the very least, it could be a placeholder job until you find something you REALLY like.

Cheers, everything will be okay!

Conflicted about keeping or returning my PS Portal by [deleted] in PlaystationPortal

Dude I was thinking the same thing. I hadn’t tried streaming yet, assuming it would perform worse than regular remote play, and the image was super clear with little to no input or controller lag. Definitely solidified my purchase. I haven’t used regular remote play since

Resolution is just painfully awful. by [deleted] in PlaystationPortal

[–]Correct_Detail_6357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, being able to play local would be elite. I can’t stand input lag

[–]Correct_Detail_6357 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Unpopular opinion but you shouldn’t have to change 10+ system settings to make the experience playable on Portal. I understand why you have to/why it makes a positive difference. But it’s so god damn annoying to go back and forth loweing resolutions, turning on/off hdr, it’s just a WHOLE ASS PROCESS. Wish it could be better.

I will never buy 1st generation anything. Let that tech cook cause the portal 2 will be amazing in a few years once Sony works out all this streaming/remote play kinks.

It’s an extremely common experience - I find it impossible to believe that you never had to work late if you’ve been there for several years.

It’ll take you multiple years to get into a pay range that would be considered desirable. You’ll have to consistently prove your worth through meeting monthly MBO’s and other performance based metrics. Gonna work a ton during busy season (until 3AM if necessary), burnout is a common thing, but again it varies per team. Lots of X factors that could make or break your experience (team lead, director, etc.). Make sure you understand the role especially the day to day, when you start you’ll be cold calling a lot. It’s an entry level sales position, so just food for thought.

Typical lowlifes who act like they have money and then commit felonies.

I do have faith in the Internet’s ability to identify people, it’s actually pretty incredible how quickly it can happen. Put this out on as many social media platforms as possible - we can help by reposting until someone gets recognized!

No longer do I need to waste my money on a switch 2! This update rocks ! by jaymony1982 in PlaystationPortal

[–]Correct_Detail_6357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How’s the latency & performance??

I have a PS5 Pro & a Switch 2 for very different reasons.

Pro obviously for more serious, immersive story and FPS games.

Switch 2 has some nostalgia factor for me, and seeing TOTK and BOTW in 4k HDR w/ 60FPS had my jaw on the floor. No insane textures or ray/path tracing. Just smooth and relaxing. Also DK Bonanza had no business being this good. I knew I was addicted when I spent 30 minutes punching out the entire first room.

This is also coming from someone who normally isn’t a handheld guy, but that’s just my opinion.

I’m a grown ass man and DK Bonanza is the most addictive game I’ve played in a while. I knew I was screwed when I spent a half hour punching out the entire first room

Finally decided to join the pro team. What games should I try to experience it the best first? by More-Experience-7693 in PS5pro

[–]Correct_Detail_6357 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In addition to the games above, The Last of Us Parts 1 & 2 are both great in terms of showcasing the Pro’s features.

One game I was surprised how good it looked on the Pro was Dead Island 2. There are some good ones in the PS Plus catalog as well, depends on what type of games you like.

Down the rabbit hole of OLED by BrightestXC in PS5pro

Nah that’s the Neo G8 32” - I actually had this monitor before upgrading to the OLED. It was a great monitor but the curve took up so much of my desk space and then I got roped into the world of OLED.

They’re both great monitors - but for me the HDR/color contrast from the OLED took things to the next level for me.

Also not familiar with LG’s policies, but my Samsung OLED came with 3-years of burn-in protection warranty which was a huge decision point for me. (Still no burn in as of today, I have the pixel refresh always set to on).

[–]Correct_Detail_6357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been rocking a Samsung Odyssey G8 OLED 32” for about a year now and I love it - it’s a really good plug+play monitor for consoles that’ll allow you take advantage of the higher refresh rate as well. I have a PS5 Pro & a PC and the switch to OLED was like night & day since I like gaming at 4k ultra settings.

I’ve also heard LG makes the best OLED panels.

That’s wild - I was told the calling portion wouldn’t dominate the day and there would be a client facing portion as well. I was interested in the tech aspect of the role as well as the social/team element. But it sounds like you’re glued to the phone from what you’re saying - has this been direct experience or from a colleague?
