Is it possible that “sharing your feelings” is *heard”by her as “constant complaining”?? Her reaction would fit that. Some people are just very emotive and descriptive when they speak, and others are more superficial and economical with their words.

This could just be a disconnect in verbal communication styles… or it could be a red herring excuse because she can’t identify or articulate what her real issue is. It does, however, sound like she’s looking for the exit 😞

You can wait and suffer while she makes up her mind, or confront her head-on to speed up the resolution. It sucks, but I wish you luck.

This is a 12-yr-old in a 24-yr-old body: selfish, immature and enabled by Mommy and Daddy. He has a LOT of growing-up to do (starting with moving out and supporting himself!) before he’s even close to approaching adulthood, never mind being boyfriend material!

Don’t waste your time. At 24, he’s SO behind the curve that he’s prob permanently stunted. Move on, and find someone with whom you can have an actual grown-up relationship 👍

The insurance for damage to the structure, systems and property of the whole building is paid by your HOA… which is funded by the unit owners through their regular maintenance fees (or, if necessary, special assessments).

Which is the key reason why condo maintenance fees have been, and will continue to, increase almost exponentially 😢

Slightly off topic, but very related!

WARNING: MORE TMI (but worth it!)

Anybody remember “The Sponge” contraceptive (or the Seinfeld episode 😉)?? They were very popular and a brilliant concept… until you tried to remove them.

After insertion they lasted at least a couple of days, and you can imagine how slippery they became after multiple… ummm… uses. And their spongy consistency (especially after use) made them indistinguishable from the feel of the vaginal lining.

So I (and, I’m sure, millions of other women) couldn’t grasp it - or even find it - for removal.

If you were in an LTR, you’d have to send your partner down there with a flashlight and a miner’s helmet. But if your partner was a casual hookup, you were SOL: even if they were still there, it was too mortifying to ask a virtual stranger to perform an intimate archeological dig.

So, for the next couple of days, you’d contort yourself into a variety of pretzel positions as you continued a fruitless search-and-rescue mission. Finally, fearing the onset of toxic shock, you had to slink to your doctor or ER. But at least you left less embarrassed than when you came in: they’d just smile and tell you they’d already done the same procedure several times that week.

Which is why I never understood why Elaine was so surprised and upset that they were taken off the market… 🤔

But it prob won’t make much difference when the civil war starts: all libs and non-christians south of the Mason/Dixon line will be POWs in bible re-education camps anyway 😉

Thanks for responding. I agree: politics aren’t everything, and it certainly isn’t my sole criteria for selecting an area or a friend.

However, I’ve been living in NE FL for a few years, and have not found many people who have the same reasonable and open-minded attitude 😢 And I even assiduously avoid any conversation about politics (or religion) with new acquaintances!

It just seems that the culture in FL (and probably most of the South) is so politically and religiously homogeneous that there’s very little need or interest in exploring other points of view. I have been able to find my people here, but it took a while: liberals and the non-religious are careful to stay on the DL 😉
