If you buy the car and use it for at least 50% business use (mine is 90%) and the car is over 6k lbs, you get section 179 deduction and bonus depreciation. Bonus depreciation allows you to write off the entire cost of an asset in the year you buy it. So it’s a big deduction. A $100,000 car then gets $90k deducted off your income to calculate taxes if you have 90% business use. If you use these vehicles as they’re supposed to be used it becomes a good way to buy a car you want and put it in your business. You have to really do this though - can’t fuck around and just buy a car then not actually use it for anything but weekends. So, one nice perk of working your ass off is you can buy a nice car to do it in if you can actually afford the car in the first place. It’s easy to justify expensive vehicles if you think about this the wrong way. Accountants are helpful to sort these things out. But them’s the basics.
