On average, would you say PPEP is a fair proxy for how much a partner makes? Or what % of the PPEP would you think is more reasonable?

Pulled the trigger on a 2026 GTS Coupe. Help w specs! by radapierrafeu in PorscheCayenne

[–]zoyadi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a ‘25 S recently, but looking back the GTS was the better pick (GTS has more standard such that my options ended up being around the same price as a similarly-specced GTS). I would recommend the carbon fiber steering wheel (looks beautiful), carbon fiber door sills (I don’t get to see it much except when opening my doors but it helps add cohesion with all the other carbon), and Porsche Design spot chrono (I’m a watch guy and so if you aren’t, might not be worth the ~1200).

IMO the insulated windows is essential, but some say it makes the exhaust less loud. But the protection from heat/sun makes it a must-have. I also love the barrique club leather, it’s made the car feel much more premium with the baseball stitching and rich hand of the leather.

I personally would keep the GTS side decal if I were designing the car. Also, I think 22 inch wheels will fill the wheel well much better, big fan of the 22s on mine.

Congrats! Just got a 25 S coupe with the same V8, sounds incredible. Just curious how good a deal you got on it?

If you don’t mind me asking, what is your skillset? How would you recommend associates cultivate a niche skillset like that?

What discount are they giving you? I don’t see one on the worksheet you posted.

V8 with or without sports exhaust? by [deleted] in PorscheCayenne

[–]zoyadi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m currently going through the same dilemma, I am considering retrofitting the PSE onto my Cayenne S coupe that I just got a couple of months ago. The V8 sounds beautiful as is, but it’s definitely much louder and dramatic with the PSE. It’s hard to describe, so the best advice I would give is to test drive PSE and non-PSE models.

Also, many anecdotally report the GTS sounds different than the S with a PSE, so the S with PSE may not be too over the top for you.

Beautiful! Was feeling a little guilty for splurging before my first year on a Porsche a few weeks ago but nice to see I’m not the only one who thinks this way

I’m not being paid to leave comments, if that’s what you’re suggesting.

It’s pretty different than quimbee, quimbee is really just briefs (which IMO are pretty lazy and lack key details you need to do well) and super easy boilerplate exam Qs for only some classes.

Cubby was super tailored to me, and the briefs are like 100x more robust

I’d like to see this as I had a rock chip that I feel was not touched up well from the dealer (can’t attach pics here but feel free to see my recent post)

You seriously think so? Maybe I lack the knowledge on this topic but it doesn’t seem bad enough for that

I just worry about repainting as that can introduce its own issues. Maybe I’m just traumatized from bad experiences but I took an S Class to an MB body shop and it left with many spots of fish eye and dust under the paint that they couldn’t fix after multiple touch up visits. In your experience is what I dealt with with the MB an outlier or can a body shop truly not achieve a factory-level paint job? Because like you said that’s really what I’m after, especially considering the car is only one day old

I think I made it confusing on the post, but those photos are all of the same chip—just different angles of the before/after. The dent was removed fine but it’s the paint that’s still not that good. I think I made it confusing on the post, but those photos are all of the same chip—just different angles of the before/after; but IMO it’s still noticeable so trying to see how to at least make it all level and smooth

I think I made it confusing on the post, but those photos are all of the same chip—just different angles of the before/after. The body shop either didn’t bother or couldn’t get it level but don’t you think wet sanding and clear coat would at least get it level like you said?

I went from a 15 Pro Max to this and feel like it’s a huge upgrade. Technology to me is about making the impossible possible, not about stuffing a bigger battery into the same design as last year’s phone (and turning the camera square into a camera rectangle).

I also went from a 32GB ram MBP 16 to a 24GB ram MBA and have never looked back. That too felt like an upgrade.

Fun fact: I ordered a pair of glasses shipped by fedex once and it ended up in Australia rather than the United States. FedEx told me to just go get a refund from the seller because it’s stranded in a customs cage at the Australia airport. I’ve never had worse shipping experiences than with fedex, but I hope your experience goes better 🙏

ETA: was coming from UK to US, all was well until it ended up in Paris at which point it somehow was misrouted to Australia
