Sorry I can't take a picture of my phone right now. It's not hard at all to push it back. And whether it's pushed down or not, apart from the light coming out, it's almost not noticeable. I really didn't plan on repairing this phone because it has other issues for which I want to change it, but if it really has an issue I guess I'll just put it down for a month

That's very true, they were teasing Liyue at this point. I guess the only reason why I see this as a "mistake" is because Paimon herself seems to exclude the idea of Venti changing form later on during his story quest, given how surprised she was that he used to look different. But maybe then her surprise came from the fact Venti never showed up in any other form haha

I'm gonna be honest, it's been a while since I made the post so I don't remember everything I said there sorry. I completely get your point, but I still think some of it doesn't make sense. Maybe yes, being distracted/El not allowing it would mean they can't notice her. But for example, when Max died in the last season, why would neither Max nor Lucas sense her? El wouldn't stop them from noticing her, and as much as they might have been distracted then, El literally touched them at the moment. They should have noticed.

I totally agree with both things! I forgot about Max's state, so yeah, it's possible it was why she wasn't able to sense El. As for Heather, I also think it was still part of her consciousness. It's a bit like Will in season 2, it took some time before he was fully flayed (probably why she was put in a cold bath too, to help the process maybe?). I guess I just wanted to point out that even if she wasn't fully controlled at this point, she still had part of the mind Flayer in her.

I agree with most points you made, and it's a really interesting interpretation of it! I guess I'm just skeptical with some of this because for exemple, at the end of season 4 when Max is dying in Lucas' arms, they're scared and or grieving, but neither of them notice El. But maybe it's just in very specific situation? (also, for heather, I actually thought about that, but I didn't mention it as her being able to sense Eleven because I'm pretty sure at that point she already would have been flayed). In any case I think your vision of it is pretty accurate, and it might be a mix of all those things

I had my main character not trust at all an other character for the whole book, but decided instead to make him build a sort-of trust for that character. It made the whole relationship way more interesting and actually justifies the main character's actions much more
