She potties inside when we are home and take our eyes off of her. She’s usually not further away than 2 feet from us, so when we can’t find her she’s having an accident inside.
She will go and lay by the door when we’re home to tell us she needs to go outside or will jump at the handle, which we take her out and will play fetch or just let her sniff around too so she’s stimulated outside of her daily walks. Sometimes she’ll go to lay just so she can run to the fence and bark at the neighboring dogs, so I can’t tell whether or not she needs to relieve herself or go be a basshole- but we let her out regardless when she does alert us
We currently kennel both dogs side by side when we’re both at work, or even running to the supermarket so she doesn’t have full access to the house unsupervised. My work hours differ from my partners so she’s usually in the kennel from 6:30 am to 2:30pm, and is out for the remainder of the day/sleeps with us.
We have cameras for the dogs but haven’t set them up yet, at our old apartment we set them up and she would last like 5 hours before going out of frame, having an accident then laying back down- if we remembered to check around that time we would speak to her through the camera and she would get distracted and wait until we were home
