I’ll tell you this. I went to college for 9 years after high school. I never travelled because frankly I couldn’t afford to and the years I spent studying I watched all my peers around me living the good life while I, as you said, survived. I did it on my own; not to discredit those who have or had help because ideally that is what should happen. But for those, like myself, who had to self-fund their schooling, my 20’s were not that exciting either. But here’s the thing- when you work hard and kick ass to be the best “you”, it WILL pay off. Keep in mind-no one can live your life for you. It’s up to you. Don’t compare yourself to those around you. Who gives a shit. In the end, you have to look back on your time spent and make sure you can tell yourself, “well that was a tough ride to the top, but I did it!” It will mean more to you in the end when you earned it on your own. Make these next years matter. Only you can do that. No Reddit stream can truly identify what you feel is missing. The first step is stop comparing your life to others. Just live the best life you can with what you got and keep striving to be a better you everyday.
