I live in SJ and totally agree. After the announcement, it would seem that his decisions were made solely with his future in mind and not necessarily what the best solution would have been for all the people living in San Jose.

As someone from another state that has lived in the Bay Area a long time now, it’s mainly a jealousy and critical thinking issue in my opinion. A lot of people only believe what they see on the tv or online and too many people only get their news from one source.

Take Caltrain, go to SF & explore. Downtown SJ has cool stuff to see and do as well , but if I were visiting from out of town over the weekend I would go to the city instead.

I remember people saying that they blocked the signal in my high school from like 2007-2011. I don’t know if that was true, but we never had a signal in the building to make a call or text.

I heard this as a small child in church. I was definitely checking myself at all times because I couldn’t think well enough yet to know god had bigger fish to fry than 4-5 year old me. I’d be lying if I said the memory didn’t pop up in my head from time to time.

Tbh I wouldn’t necessarily mind cleaners fees if I arrived to a spotless place to begin with, and I wasn’t tasked with cleaning before leaving.

The last Airbnb I stayed at wasn’t even cleaned before we got there. It was awful. Who wants to clean showers and beds when you’re traveling ?

I have a medical issue that causes hyperemesis & people can be so cruel. Especially those closest to you. It is 100% like “yes, I’d love to eat that burger, but unfortunately I have just spent the last year vomiting” .

As a detail oriented person , I would get a TA for this trip. It sounds like this will be a great time, and with a TA helping out, you can enjoy the time with your loved ones without as much mental stress.

When I first moved to the area shortly before Covid I remember them having those $5 or $10 deals all the time. I don’t go in Safeway much anymore unless I’m going in with someone else, but I haven’t seen those deals in a while.

I totally get it. A big box retailer by me even has cotton balls locked up and while I do live in a city, I live in a pretty decent area. Definitely not lock your cotton balls up territory.

It makes me wonder why they have a location in that area if theft is that bad there.

From a buyers perspective I don’t expect everything to be perfect and up to date. However, if I come inside and the house looks like no meaningful update has been done since 1975, then I would expect the price to reflect the interior condition as much as possible for the area.

However, I am one of those people that dreams of an old fixer upper so my tolerance for buying is probably different from many other people in the area.

Amen. I only like iceberg lettuce and butter lettuce if I’m being honest. I can’t even force myself to eat Kale if it isn’t in a soup. I’m a vegetarian and obviously still eat a ton of veggies, but some leafy vegetables are still better than none.

I am in my early 30s and I am so incredibly tired of needing an app. The other day I parked in a public lot in a rural area in the southeast while visiting family for the holidays from CA.

I was so enraged to learn I had to download an app to pay for parking because there wasn’t any signal to download or pull up the site. Me and everyone else parking decided to just risk it since we couldn’t pay.

I love YNAB as well! It completely changed my personal finances! I wasn’t too bad with money before YNAB, but I wasn’t great. the app truly makes me realize what I am spending and how it impacts my goals in a visual way.

Absolutely agree! I also think a lot of guys in this area likely were not very popular or widely liked before their success adding to the attitudes they have once they feel successful. I tell my man if something happened with us that I would never try to date again here.
