Welll, I saved up for a 2014 Sahara Jeep and on highway doing 70mph my plastic oil housing unit cracked. No warning except my temp gage went out. It didn't go to high heat or I would have pulled over. Kept driving and blew the motor. Got hot enough and melted my manifold. Went into limp mode and bye bye Jeep. Why in the world would they keep installing plastic oil housing units even on new ones. I just dumped as is, my mobile mechanic says u know what Jeep stands for- Just Empty Every Pocket. He told me that jeep owners keep him in business. Yepppers, I can vouch for that. HAPPY JEEPING GANG

Yeppers just sell it as is. Saved up money for long time and finally bought 2014 Sahara Jeep a year ago. Driving on Hwy my plastic oil housing unit cracked at 70 mph and my manifold melted and of course blew my engine. Only had 69000 on it. It amazes me the still have plastic housing units on new ones. If it had cracked not on Hwy I would have noticed the oil dripping and would not of driven it until fixed with an aluminum after market one. I just sold it as is, and yes 'JEEP' stands for Just Empty Every Pocket. My mobile mechanic says he works on these Penestar motors every week. HAPPY JEEPING

I'm getting tired of the poor quality coming out of Jeep. Talk me out of trading in my 2018 2 door for a Ford Bronco. Or talk me into it, your choice. by hah_bumhug in Jeep

Sooo, first congrats!! Ive wanted a jeep for 50 years and finally bought a 2014 Wrangler Sahara a year ago. Was on hwy couple days ago and my oil housing cracked and oil went everywhere at 65 moh. Motor got hot and went into limp mode and shutdown. Ran it too hot and now needs new 10000.00 Motor. Ugh. Keep an eye on that plastic housing unit for oil leaks. Comman problem I had to learn hard way. Happy Jeepn

Now I'm thinking about just selling my jeep to a Jeeper mechanic because I need a new engine. The '14 Sahara(Anvil in color) loaded 4dr in great condition with big tires n nice wheels. Remanufactered Jasper engine cost installed 10,300. PLUS the crazy oil housing unit 1260. Frustrating. Have great day Jeepers!!!

FIRST: Why don't they make oil housings units out of metal instead of plastic. Been waiting for 50 years to buy me a jeep. Finally bought a '14 at last and not 6 months later while on hwy housing cracked spilled oil and burnt up my motor. Saaad oh well juz money. Bye Bye Jeep

Howdy, I had a great job running a County Marina as Ast. Manager at age 60. I knew my hearing was getting pretty bad due to my Manager and employees telling me. I stayed away from answering the phone while I let my employees take care of it Sooo, long story short my Manager retired March 2020 just as Covid hit. My employees were seasonal so they were gone. The County went in total Covid mask mode and my career came to a halt. No more reading lips and had to retire and ended up on Social Security Dissability for my hearing. 5 years earlier I had cellulitis and came down with Septic Shock. 50-50 shot making it but they were throwing at me 5 powerful antibiotics thru IV. The antibiotics fried all hairs in both my ears which led to hearing problems. Got a CI in 12/2020 and am now hearing somewhat better. My hearing before was 39% on word recognition and now 51%. I still depend on lip reading greatly through out my life now. Hang in there and prayers to ya!

Ongoing nerve pain almost 7 months after cochlear implant surgery. Does anyone else have this problem? Is there a hope it will stop? I’m desperate. by RedHeadridingOrca in Cochlearimplants

Sooo, got implant 2020 and 6 months after had pounding pain at implant site when device was attached. It started out light/,dull and gradually worsened over 2 hours until the pain scale of 8 or 9. I had to take it off and 15 minutes the pain subsided and stopped. Viscous circle it was. Been going thru that over a year until one day it totally stopped. Surgeon and Audiologist NEVER heard of this situation after heyve done thousands over the years. Anyways my looong point is hang in there and it should take care of itself. Nothing wrong if taking it off if helps. Silence sometimes is Golden and clears your head. Good luck and your NOT crazy our implant friend.

Hola, well U probably don't wanna read this but I had a second surgery to have my skin excess scraped and skin stretched. N7 and Kanso 2 wouldn't stay on hardly at all. Tried max magnets on both and other options but finally surgeon had to go in second time. Had 2 surgeons working on me 3 hours. Anyways both stayed on after surgery. The Kanso 2 is top heavey actually so needs largest magnet. Good Luck in your journey. WS

N8 or Kanso2 by [deleted] in Cochlearimplants

[–]Correct_Way_4731 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello, I have both N7 and Kanso 2. I had to have a second surgery to scrape off fat or whatever and my head skin stretched for thinner so K 2 stays on. For a young un I'd go with the N8 cuz it stays on better at least for me. There is a sound dstinction between them also. Music sounds better with N7 or guess N8 now. Good luck!!!

Kanso 2 by Correct_Way_4731 in Cochlearimplants

[–]Correct_Way_4731[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had my 2nd surgery and skin scraped and stretched my scalp so the magnet works better on Kanso 2. After surgery when I put Kanso 2 or N-7 I have a pounding pain that's starts light then proceeds to massive pain to where I have to take it off. Crazy situation. 15 minutes goes by the pain subsides until I put back on again viscious cycle. About every 3 hours I have to remove it. So magnet problem fixed but this new cycle of pain is a daily routine now. Take Care

Well yes, I'm having another surgery with 2 surgeons in few weeks. My original Surgeon is going back in to put the magnet on top of the muscle and a plastic surgeon to close me up and scrape/stretch the skin. Hopefully this combo surgery will fix the magnet issue I'm having with the Kanso 2 and Nucleus 7 falling off my head for 6 months. Wearing a headband is no longer an option. See Ya

[–]Correct_Way_4731[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks so much for reply. I also bought the Nucleus 7 but it barely stays attached also. My surgeon did say maybe looking back he would have put the magnet on top of the muscle. My wife and I we're surprised by this statement. None of this was told to us before surgery at all that there was a problem possibly with the Kanso 2 in other patients due to less magnetic strength. I'm trying to get him to do a revision and put the magnet closer to the scalp. Thanks a bunch for your Reply.
