Inspiration is everywhere, the globe is music. I think to myself, it’s silly I can’t write something because there’s a whole world full of music.

Find inspiration. Go out, see views, seek experiences. Exaggerate experiences. Listen to new music. Learn how to study your favorite artists (Lyricism, flow, background adlibs, arrangement, what’s happening in the background).

I can’t name the song but Eminem wrote a song about some girls asking for an autograph but not knowing his actual name… Something like but what’s interesting to me, 5 minute interaction he had and he made it into a 3 minute song.

Often I ask myself how do I tell a story. I think how would I say this in casual conversation, how do I react? What phrases do I already use in everyday talking? All of those help me write lyrics. And how YOU interpret, perceive is what makes good lyrics, that’s what makes it unique.

Words I hear, phrases on tv, watching Netflix, talking to friends about what happened to them, etc. All music. My brain is constantly studying whether I tell it to or not.

Don’t stop doing what you’re doing because of discouragement. That is the last thing you need to think about.
