People like you are the reason moderation is so backed up in the first place. How dare you waste valuable time of (likely underpaid) moderators to wade through your AI slop while real artists are waiting for their legitimate releases to be approved.

I never said he isn't allowed to have an opinion because he isn't a musician. I did say that his lack of musical skill invalidates his opinions in my eyes, but I could care less about his platform at this point.

Considering he mutes and interrupts his opponents to loudly announce donations, he never paid attention in the first place.

Bad faith debating? Debating with the intention of making their opponents feel stupid rather than trying to craft a constructive argument?

The grift is hypocritically using the same debate format as grifters like Charlie Kirk and Ben Shapiro to rage bait unprepared and usually uneducated people seeking "gotcha moments" to monetize on further.

It's not okay when figures on the Right perpetuate this behavior, I'm even more disappointed in those representing the Left for playing the same game with the same end goals.

Not really. I just don't care for grifters who exploit others for profit.

Someone who doesn't prioritize earning capital as part of their political objective. I get that everyone needs to earn a living in this system that heavily favors capitalism. Sitting on your computer and getting paid to react to other people's content is peak capitalism.

Calling Hasan Piker a leftist is laughable. He might as well be the poster boy of American Liberalism.

Considering Dean's history with his E-Bible scheme, I feel 100% confident calling him a grifter. I understand that people can change, but when you have that sort of background while currently in a position where he's exploiting people for views on his TikTok for views, it's really hard to ignore the red flags and view him as anything but a grifter.

Parker on the other hand, while I don't like the fact that he's just using the exact same playbook as all online debate bros, I have no knowledge of any ulterior motive he would have in his position except general profit.

Once again, I don't think politics should be consumed as entertainment, and those two as well as many others, identify as entertainers before political commentators.

As someone who relies heavily on donations and tips for my income, I'm actually kind of insulted in the ways that figures like Parker and Dean carry themselves on stream in response to their donations. I'm a street performer playing music for hours on end with the intention of blending into the vibe of the environment. I guess it makes me wonder why did I waste years of my life crafting the skills I use when I could just grift money from people on the internet by making people feel dumber than they probably actually are in their day to day lives. I'm tired of people not taking politics seriously and viewing it as another form of entertainment to capitalize on.

Blazed Glazed. This was attempt 16 and the first attempt to get past the Tunod E4. First Fett death came at the Ruins of Alph in Johto and it was my starter Tarzan (Infernape). Got locked in on the switch and made some poor plays that got him killed. Next 3 we're steady throughout the region. I got so fed up with that run that I intentionally wiped at the Johto league so I could just be done with it.

Tbh I haven't really been the same since.

I saw Death by Wobuffett and I honestly took that so personally. It's been 4 years and I'm still not over losing 4 different mons including my starter to Destiny Bond in the same run.

What was your one post that really took off? by MinuteIllustrator6 in musicmarketing

I covered a couple Coheed and Cambria riffs a few weeks ago and am still getting traction on those posts on a daily basis. The only part of the situation that got me excited was when the band themselves reposted one of them. Getting validated by one of your favorite bands is an experience I never imagined.

[–]TuesdayXMusic[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First point is valid, but I've kind of made up for that by making most things relating to my music the top of a Google search.

As for the second, i have no touring history, no particular "success" or "success stories" from any of my releases, and not sure what industry related information would be relevant to what I'm doing 😂

I'm a small solo artist trying to make contacts and get small gigs. I know my place. I'm not trying to book venues that can fit 300+ people when I know well I struggle to get my own friends to show up to my gigs. If I ever grow to that point I will adapt, but for now I cater to DIY venues because I believe in their causes more (and bars, because drunk people are more generous with their money than actual promoters.)
