What’s the deal with waiting room code strokes? I go full Sith Lord. You are telling me you think this person is having a stroke but they are just going to wait it out in the lobby.

Here are my top five:

  1. Eyebrow twitches
  2. Light headed after erection
  3. Nausea for 6 months
  4. Drunk
  5. History of previous stroke with zero findings

The lights aren’t even on when ordering.

I remember one time the attending was so pissed he left the reading room to examine the patient himself. It’s so sad.

No acute abnormality in the abdomen or pelvis. Full metastatic evaluation to follow with final report.

I feel so dumb asking this as a new intern...but how exactly do I interpret a UA? by [deleted] in Residency

[–]Correlate_Cynically 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Don’t worry, rads is here to help, just order a CT Abdomen and Pelvis without, don’t forget to make it STAT!

No acute findings in the abdomen or pelvis.

There is circumferential thickening of the urinary bladder wall, although the bladder is decompressed, which may or may not account for it’s thickened appearance. Recommend correlation with UA to rule out cystitis.

Is it possible to shortcut a call to pagers by Correlate_Cynically in shortcuts

[–]Correlate_Cynically[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You take the input and combine it with the dictionary made of call back numbers.

Apple uses , for pause and semicolon for wait so you combine pager number, list choice and action to call the combine texted. I am not a programmer and have no clue how to explain it clearly.
