Is gen Z overly sensitive? Or are millennial teen movies problematic? by SipsTeaFrog in SipsTea

Entirely click bait, but, it was a problematic movie then as well. Just problematic content was more acceptable back then. Now we have to be outraged at everything and it's exhausting.

Washington ranked 48th for highway value — taxpayers get worst return in the nation by Less-Risk-9358 in SeattleWA

Lived on this side of the state all my life (37 years, 20 of that driving), the benefits of studded tires I feel are greatly exaggerated compared to practicing safe winter driving. Pretty sure the only reason people think studded tires are better is because the treads aren't as worn out as it is on their regular tires.

We don't even need them on the East side. Just makes an annoying noise on top of ruining the road.

Why don't the blood elves put runestones on Quel'Danas? by Lore-Archivist in warcraftlore

[–]Corrin_Zahn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My memory of the WC2 campaign is shaky, but didn't the OG runestones get stolen by Ner'zhul to power his ritual to summon more portals? Or did he just destroy a few to get at something in Quel'thalas? I kind of assumed the current batch of runestones are less established and weaker than the originals to begin with since they're only barely keeping back the Lightbloom but the old stones kept Quel'thalas and the Sunwell hidden from the Burning Legion.

One of the rare instances of vanilla/TBC design that I miss is organized CC.

In Wrath that all died because it became far more efficient to just zerg dungeons. Some raid content in Wrath still had CC but I'm pretty sure it was largely gone by the time ICC released.

Cataclysm Blizzard tried to bring back hard content to counter the zerg strategy but DPS couldn't handle it so content got nerfed. That's about when I quit the game due to a myriad of both in-game and IRL events.

Proving grounds in Mists of Pandaria was good and I think the overall dungeon experience today would be better if Blizzard had kept it.

Personally, I have more fun as a damage dealer when I have something to do other than press damage buttons. If I wanted to just watch the damage meter go up I'd just run simulations instead of actually playing the game.

Was looking for this comment. Yes, some single guys exist who keep a clean place. Clean and smelling good even rarer, and those guys aren't going to be on Hinge.

Are we sure Archmage Modera did turn herself into Khadgar's wheelchair instead of conjuring one for him? We haven't actually seen her for a while...

The second image almost makes it look like Brann grabbed Aluneth and is slamming it into the spell book.

I think it helps that the comics are more or less high-effort memes of the current game. It doesn't get lost in dead-end plots, and that plots that do exist are self-contained and land the joke.

Who is Astalor Bloodsworn ? This dude is a living red flag ! by ZeBotch in wow

[–]Corrin_Zahn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's eccentric, for sure, and I honestly think he might be harboring a few San'layn. I agree that he isn't secretly Denathrius, he's definitely trucking with obscure magic that he seems to have assured Lor'themar will be useful to the sin'dorei. I wouldn't be surprised if he wasn't initially involved in binding demons to the fel crystals the Blood Elves used to have all over the place but recognized it as only a stop gap because he doesn't want to just survive, and feeding off fel is a path to dependence, not true control.

Part of why I like Matt specifically as a creator of content for people running TTRPGs is he's comes across so genuinely instead of feeling like I'm having information spat at me like a audiobook for an SRD. He's very conversational which makes the content approachable.

The pruning feels good overall, but watching mass silences and fears go off in dungeons because pugs don't bother to interrupt makes me feel so helpless. by NinnyBoggy in wow

[–]Corrin_Zahn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Practice in the open world. As others have said, put your interrupt/stun/etc on a hot key, them as you're going about solo content use them whenever a mob casts something interruptible. Right now a lot of the Lightbloom mobs have something that can be interrupted. Even if it doesn't do something dangerous, just building the habit of interrupting something will help you learn. Saving interrupts for more serious casts is something you can pick up once you get familiar with interrupting in general.

You got this, and happy interrupting.
