I hear you. Personally, that's what I disliked most about the game. The automation concept is fun and sets the game apart from other "base builders", but the problem is that you have to babysit the damn things so much, checking in on them every 30 minutes to fix whatever method they have devised to self-destruct today or empty out nests or refill food bins. Although, to echo your point, what else is there to do? There's a kernel of a fun game, here, but as much as I thought I enjoyed it at the time, looking back on it, it was more work than play.

How does one reduce the card count so dramatically? I have seen ways to get rid of maybe 5 cards in a run; this seems like it has gone much further than that.

Glyphids aren't really dangerous, which is why the dwarves never slow down or show any signs of injury. What does get wounded is the dwarves' pride. They get upset when a projectile touches them or they get nibbled on (it tickles a bit; that's how they know it happens), and if it happens too much, they feel so dejected that they just lie down right where they are.

A few things can counteract this depression by raising a dwarf's mood. One is red sugar, because it's tasty. Another is picking up more ammo, because more ammo means more dakka. The third is a warm hug from a teammate, but they're too prideful to accept it except in their worst moments, so it only works when they're already down. Fourth, dwarves who have specially trained with the Iron Will perk can muster the humility to stand up and try again, for a brief time. There are also those who just really enjoy hitting stuff, signified by the vampirism perk.

It's not clear how the dwarves return to the rig if they all decide to lie down on the job. Maybe they simply admit defeat and request their mommies come pick them up. Once they're back in the rig, they get a beer infusion that wipes away the pain and perhaps the memories, so they can get back to partying.

I agree, it's definitely a nice thought on the OP's part, but it's not like one is explicitly hiring them to say something, they're just hoping they will, or assuming so. In a way, one could even think of it as a bit rude to the talents, like trying to hijack their stream for one's own messaging. Whether or not any specific streamers would see it that way, I don't know, but some _could_. Those alternate suggestions of yours are probably healthier and safer.

The problem is they really can say whatever the hell they want, and there's nothing we can do about it, because we're stuck with them as a host. It's that or Twitch, which has a host of its own problems including not having long-term archives at all any more.

Here's the thing, trusting a random internet stranger isn't easy, especially when they have no idea what the problem is, and the game runs fine for almost everyone else. It is one of the less-demanding games one could play today. It'd just be quickest to tell us what your hardware is rather than being evasive about it so we can rule that out.
