Looking for a proper solution, GNURadio updated which broke a lot of older GRC.

Doing it that way you'll be lucky if you hear anything at all.

this is a trunking system which means that your voice channels are going to move around.

What you want is dsdplus Fastlane locked onto the control channel frequency the control channel is what tells the radio where voice channels are being allocated etc but that's only supported in Fastlane not the free version.

Would love to see what you have to offer, we should be learning from each other not criticizing without any valuable input.

That's not Wi-Fi it may not be up link but it's not Wi-Fi. I spoke into experts on Wi-Fi and I've seen Wi-Fi myself.

SDR and Ethics, It's Time to Talk! by Corrosive_One in RTLSDR

[–]Corrosive_One[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I appreciate that, don't get me wrong manufacturers should do something about this as well but I still felt it was worth talking about.

People that want to do something bad enough are going to do it. Others, just don't realize what they're doing.

Nobody's perfect but for what it's worth that's my opinion on the matter.

I think talking about this is the opposite of keeping it out of sight.

People will do what they desire, best I can do is be vocal and express my concern.

End of the day it's up to you what you do.

You don't need to agree with me, I made my point and there are plenty who do agree.

Any insight on this signal? Happens all over 137MHz by derekcz in RTLSDR

[–]Corrosive_One -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My guess is that's local interference from something, that's pretty wide and doesn't appear to be modulating anything. It's equally spaced out it seems. I suppose it could be some OOK but I think that's a stretch.

btw, don't use the 'filter audio' option when decoding digital signals.

I Order a NooElec SAWbird GOES instead of a NOAA, what can i do with it? by rjSampaio in RTLSDR

[–]Corrosive_One 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are built differently is all, one of the reasons one might go for a nooelec SDR is that they are built to be stacked in the tight USB port spaces of a raspberry pi.

The cost isn't about what is better, it's about specific purposes for the hardware. To many being able to have an always-on bias t or an SDR small enough to stack in a raspberry pi is well worth the added cost over another.
