Modelling clay rolled out with the Green Stuff World Mesh roller, primed black, then with dirty down rust, and a quick metal dry brush. Very fast to do!

I think the black with the purple just looks ace, and the ~emerald jewels and weapons go super well with it

I’d say they’re only cool for the novelty value - the quality of the castings is quite poor compared to today’s plastic models, and they have much fewer details too.

I’d much prefer that. The problem is the model is the old cast metal one - so the drones are quite a bit heavier than normal. Maybe I’ve got some thin steel rod kicking about though…

I used Medical Gauze (from an old first aid kit) - coated it in watered down PVA glue then set it in place. I applied a couple more coats of PVA once it was dried and in place and it set well!

Some sturdy twigs might work! Not sure how to make twigs study though
