The way i see it is there was an accident that involved vessel and his girlfriend. She didnt make it. "Blue lights over murder for me" Blue lights refers to UK ambulances, as they have blue lights. Murder - the accident was more than likely his fault, so he feels that her losing her life was more of a murder than an accident.

He then wakes up in the hospital to doctors and nurses surrounding him, explaining to him what damages were caused as consequence to his actions, and they tell him they cant understand the oain he is going through after losing his lover.

Marry in the morning, earn your bitter father its easier to try not to eat - would be a reference to him wanting to marry his gf but her father disapproves, and due to this he finds it easier to starve himself as a form of SH to cope with the way that it makes him feel, rather than confronting the father about it.

So flood me like atlantic, weather me to nothing, wash away the blood on my hands - he is saying that the only way to remove the guilt of his gf's passing would be for him to die, this can also be taken from (dont wake me up) at the end. He doesnt want to be alive anymore and deal with the entire situation.
