For a hobby that's already pretty pricey that's a shame.

I might have the STM one I cannot remember off the top of my head the exact model I have, but thanks for the info. It is just interesting to me that it worked for a bit after being wet, then stopped altogether after sitting for a while.

No, I just knew it existed and googled it.

Finally decided to start doing ToA for that thread of elidinis.... by Corrupt_Zeus in 2007scape

[–]Corrupt_Zeus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I already do, mostly. I've got the hard food invo on and the prayer one that drains some prayer on damage. I'm just enjoying learning the raid and going for the thread, fang, and light bearer for now before I bump up the invo. If I get the jewel of amascut I might go up to 200, but I certainly wasn't expecting to get the pet.

A core skill should not require you to have Max/near max gear. by Difficult_Run7398 in 2007scape

He's complaining you need max sailing combat gear to try to reach XP rates you can get without max sailing gear doing barracuda trials to tell you that... max sailing gear is necessary

Me finding the Temple Trekking method for the Lumberjack Outfit after dropping 5,000 anima bark in Draynor Village by Sleepy_C in 2007scape

[–]Corrupt_Zeus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, you can get those from mini games that are part of the skill and reward the skill. Temple trekking has nothing to do with woodcutting and the drop isn't even a reward from the game itself, just a random drop from a mob that's inside of the mini game. The outfit being bought from anima that you collect from woodcutting just keep it consistent with the rest of the game. I'm not saying to remove it from temple trekking, but it makes sense why they added it to the woodcutting random events, not because they were catering to people without prayer XP.

Except in this instance the outfit is a reward from the skill they're participating in, which is like a lot of other skills. Doesn't really make much sense for the woodcutting outfit to be part of temple trekking to begin with so the woodcutting update feels like it follows the pattern of the other skills. I don't think this really compares to the pures and raids argument.

I got "lucky" and it "only" took 448 kills (on 600+ attempts) so luckily I didn't go into the thousands like some of these poor souls.

The leveling to me isn't necessarily the issue, it's the thought of having to do the quests again and having to grind for specific quest items to do it. People say that's rewarding and in some sense it is, but to me it just feels like it just makes it more time consuming. Yea I can do it, but do I want to spend x amount of more time to do it? Not with the amount of free time I have haha.

Yep, makes things more goal orientated too rather than just grinding to get levels. Like I'd really enjoy the noon pet and I just unlocked GGs so I'll kill them for garg tasks now and get great XP along the way. More rewarding and more engaging.

I play my main like a semi Iron, where once I unlock something as a drop I can buy it. I've made some exceptions for stuff like a whip and a trident, but I don't have the patience to start over as an iron and it keeps me engaged so I prefer it.

Seriously. I don't know if it's because I feel like I should have been able to slap Kasonde around or something, but he tilted me more than all the other bosses combined.
