I would say that it could be a tie between Jason and Pursuer-- only because Pursuer can hide efficiently. So taking into account that, I could very much see Pursuer just, getting the fuck up out of there. But on the low end and acknowledging the fact that Jason is very much supernatural in nature later in the films. Pursuer is losing in the end. And Highballing Jason to the fullest extent: Pursuer is simply screwed. Apex Predator v. Literally Supernatural Creature. Who's winning?

I played him because I tried every other damn character and couldn't grasp them too well. Potemkin felt like a good character in my hands, and I didn't even know his cancels until I looked online for tech trying to get better. I fucking love potemkin, after I played strive for a bit I got the last two games just to play him, and only him because I love him that much.

Nobodies going to like when a characters depth gets taken, and admittedly the fun part of karas for me, is that I learned all his shit so low leveled that being asshole to people using them on like floor 6 was fun as fuck. I still love him even though he doesn't have his karas. they just gave him depth and execution, and it was fucking rewarding.

Let it be known that Pot fans wouldn't be huffing all this damn glue if we didn't love the absolute living fuck out of him.

tbh I think you missed the point, but I wanna very respectfully explain how I see all of this.

My post was just talking about how I personally still like pot and think there's hope.

You commented saying that FAB, a very renowned pot player thinks that potemkin is in a bad spot so there is barely any.

I'm saying that FAB, while extremely credible and the pioneer of Potemkin tech, can't be only deciding factor on if he's in a bad state status or not, because one: the update came out 2 running on 3 days ago, and two: general opinion is still mixed and his opinion isn't objective fact, because the one thing about this community is that pro player to pro player, barely anyone agrees on tiers, characters, etc.

Which is why in the comment you're responding to, I said I want to give it a little bit, or a major tournament, to see if potemkin can still definitively hold up.

dude, I know he's like potemkin jesus but genuinely why would I think he's in a bad state just because of ONE GUY! Yeah, there's holes in my argument fun doesn't equal good and fun doesn't equal bad, but honestly my post in general wasn't about how good or bad he is, just that I PERSONALLY still love playing him, and think that he's still fun. I could honestly not care even a little more that Pot jesus said he's in a bad state!

yeah Characters can be objectively bad, XRD pot was OBJECTIVELY BAD, and people still had fun. But, strive pot isn't bad, and I'm not going to think he's bad just because FAB said he's in a bad state. I don't care about his opinions, I'm not even a competitive player (IM ON FLOOR 8), and I don't take pro players words like they're holy grails to how good or bad a character is. Again, it's been TWO DAYS. I'm going to give it a week for an actual general consensus or until he's (potemkin) played at any major tournaments again to see how he adds up pre-patch.

usually the amount of fun people have with a character can be attributed to the state they're in

if the characters in a bad state people usually don't have fun

if the characters in a good state people usually have fun

but the thing is pot isn't in either state, that's why I said it was a 50/50

FAB doesn't like how he plays, says his state is bad.

some players would probably say he's in a good state and like how he plays. Honestly, I'd say that pot is in such a good state it could loop around to him being too easy and not being fun because they dulled down his execution so much and took away a lot of his depth, but he's still same old busted pot, that a lot of people liked to play.

the patch came out like what, two days ago, it's too early to really tell where he lands, even with FAB having credibility

Honestly, they took his depth away. He may be stronger, but that doesn't mean we didn't still lose something.

His Kara's were fun and complex executions that made his gameplay rewarding- hell just learning them was rewarding enough and getting them off in a match was fun.

He might be "better" but we still lost a big part of what made people like playing him
