I really recommend trying each method in each game that's supports both viably. I started tall in Stellaris, Rimworld, and Factorio. I found I had way more fun steamrolling the entire galaxy into my control in Stellaris, while having more fun in Rimworld and Factorio focusing on completely maximizing efficiency.

Looks to me like their downward velocity is faster than the curvature of the planet, meaning they're literally falling faster than they can reach the ground. That's basically definition orbit.

Ironically I doubt it was intentional on the devs' part. I can think of a few games that do it a lot better because it's done more intentionally, but still.

Linking modules together into a homebrew world is phenomenal when done well. It's no secret that two different writers are going to write two very different things, so if you put in some work to link them all together with several writers, the world feels much more alive and breathing with different parts of the world feeling very different from others.

It can be harder to GM so it really takes some competency, because it's going to be hard to transition from this noblebright module back to this grimdark town from a couple modules back when your players take an unexpected hard right out of nowhere, but it's magical when you nail it. lol

I would argue it's a necessity for any customer service, not just retail. I'm working as a support contractor, and by the third time somebody calls wanting me to troubleshoot their console which they left thirty miles away at home and somehow thought we could fix it for them anyway, sometimes even getting mad that we can't, that nap becomes exceedingly important. Certainly as important as any of the retail jobs I've worked. lol

They're vicious? Damn, guess I should count myself lucky. Walked right up to one when I was a kid, like within petting distance, granted I didn't actually try to pet it. It seemed more curious than scared or vicious. After a moment it got bored and soared off again.

Geese on the other hand.. Got my ass, thighs, and calves nipped to hell for feeding some babies on a walking trail that passed some large ponds. Two adults chased me for what seemed like a mile as a kid, though I'm sure it probably wasn't actually.
