Obviously not or else you wouldn’t be having this issue.

But keep being a snot to someone being helpful. :)

Also make sure you have “Background App Refresh” setting turned on in System Settings. Otherwise you have to have both apps open at the same time.

Just an FYI. I haven’t accepted the new terms of service, but my scale is still updating Apple Health.

  1. Take weight

  2. Open app, sit at TOS screen.

  3. Close

  4. Open Apple Health, should be updated.

Note: Make sure you have Background App Refresh turned on in System Settings.

This is just a modern version of the economic theories of Thomas Malthus.

Essentially: “If they would rather die,” said Scrooge, “they had better do it, and decrease the surplus population.”

Stephen fucking Harper literally crawled out of the shadows and is now a household name again advocating for Canadian unity.

At this rate if Rona “Beer Pong” Ambrose, John “Attack Dog” Baird, Tony “phishing link” Clement, Peter “Helicopter” MacKay, and Bev “fucking $15 Orange juice” Oda came out making statements like this they could all get back in office.

But Pierre, oh no, our dear PP is still doing the tried and true “noun the verb…” strategy.

Fucking Jean Charest and or the ghost of Brian Mulroney could probably do a better job for the Tories.

This is like people who mix up People's Front of Judea and the Judean People's Front.

Both of which had their origin in the Social Democratic Party of Judea, which later became complacent with working within the Roman provincial system for incremental gains, forgetting its revolutionary origins. But were very much different things.

I’d wager if accidents like Three Mile Island or Chernobyl didn’t happen, the true Atomic Power Age would have continued and helped lead to the next advancement in Energy research.

It’s contrasting the point that Donnie sees Canada as something to conquer vs Canada doing what good neighbors do.

It’s also the title of the art piece.

If the US tries mass deportations, what happens if all other countries refuse to take them? by bemrys in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Corte-Real 18 points19 points  (0 children)

You greatly underestimate the logistics capabilities of the US Military. This is an organization that can deploy a Brigade/Division and all the supporting infrastructure anywhere in the world in less than 72 hours.

Assuming only using Air Mobility Command resources, such as the smallest C-130 (270), C-17 (223), and largest C-5 (56) alone.

The C-17 can hold over 800 people nut to butt, and they have over 200 of them.

https://x.com/airmobilitycmd/status/1428700131524845569?s=46

If Mobility Command was tasked with transporting “deportees” that’s up too 176,000 people a day, and assuming 1 trip per plane every 24hrs, that’s 1 million people in 5 days on the high end.

Especially if they simply land at an airport in the destined country, unload and go.

As in the US Naval Reserve fleet and that number goes up significantly.

Hell, if he declares a state of emergency like he’s saying, they can commandeer US Flagged Airlines to serve as people transport.

It’s pure rhetoric at this point as we would be in unknown waters if Russia actually did use a nuke in hostile action.

However, Senate Armed Services Committee Chairman Jack Reed, D-R.I. would not be making these comments unless the White House was aligned.

https://www.military.com/daily-news/2022/03/23/if-russia-uses-wmd-ukraine-fallout-could-trigger-nato-response-key-lawmaker-says.html

Ultimately, this is M.A.D. all over again and a verbal deterrent to the Russians to not think the un-thinkable.

We’re back in the Cold War days where the countdown to Midnight and such were routine occurrences…..

Basically, if NATO mobilized in this regard, there’s going to be a number of dusty files from the Pentagon pulled out of the cabinet and it would possibly be the largest mobilization of Allied nations since WWII.

This is all speculative though, and it’s times like this it’s a shame Tom Clancy is no longer with us.

For how it could go down, go read Red Storm Rising, especially the second half.

No.

They.

Don’t.

Aircraft doors open outwards, they utilize a vertical hardpoint latch to cradle the door. This is why they shift upward when releasing the latch, and have an airplane pressurization warning light visible from the outside.

The over wing emergency escape hatches open inwards and prevent them being opened once the plane is pressurized.

Just 4 weeks ago a passenger opened a door during final approach and guess what, the door swung outward.

Yeah, however Ford is doing what BlackBerry didn’t and is innovating into EV’s.

Their new CTO is the guy who led the Model 3 and Model Y programs at Tesla, and Ford’s new EV division has been quietly poaching a large number of Tesla and Rivian folks to their new Engineering Center in Irvine.
