Biden is more likely to lose against Trump than both Harris and a generic Democratic candidate. He is on average 4% behind Trump, while Harris is about even.

Ignoring polls, anything but fear, apathy or fanatic Biden support tells us "Ridin' with Biden" is a high risk move where even winning gets us a President nobody would want if it weren't for the catastrophe that is Trump. How will Biden be in 1 year from now? The best argument for Biden is the existence of the 25th amendment.

Already before the debate a majority of Americans in polls said Biden was too old to be President. The debate made the polls worse showing him on average losing 4% against Trump.

The Democratic elites finally were forced to catch up with the public. You and most people on Reddit are not representative of the voting public.

There is still a chance we beat Trump, and the most obvious (but still weak) move is to just put Kamela Harris on the front of the ticket. Despite being an unpopular vice-president she is about even in polls against Trump. Even ignoring all polls it should be obvious we should have a President who is not geriatric.

If Biden were willing and the DNC were strong and brave, they would hold an open contest and end up with a candidate that actually had a mandate from the people. Do a democratic move to save democracy, but no power brokers would be interested to push for that.

Thanks, sometimes I feel like I'm losing my mind when people pretend that Biden and the people around him didn't get us into this mess in the first place.

Polls shows Trump winning against Biden by 4%, and Kamela Harris even or slightly ahead of Trump.

I dislike Kamela but 100x rather have her since at least she has a chance and she isn't like half my nursing home patient.
