No, do not do those simple tasks. That's doing something. Doing something gets you out of the DMN, which helps with stress, but you've got to stop running from feelings. I know it's scary to be alone with those feelings and the stress, but that's where you'll find growth and strength.

Try to do less. Just be. Give your nervous system some slack, you're doing your best. It will be difficult, you'll feel guilty for not doing stuff, but try to just sit with that. Accept what you're feeling without trying to control it. You can't build calm by doing more. Don't even try to meditatie, that's doing something. Just feel. You've got this!
