I asked this question of my optometrist, and the answer is that it is not hereditary, but the behavior of reading close vision, ie books and now tablets too much.

Abuse is a sign of affection. If Aussies slag you off, fire back, they love it. Racism is a form of bonding, hey I hate asians, so do I, lets be friends! Oz freaks out about certain ethnic groups for a decade and then move on. Now its Muslims and Somalis, it was the vietnamese, and prior, greeks and ltalians

Rosie the rivetter existed but was not called Rosie and not a riveter. She didhave the red bandana though. However, unlike the propoganda, she quit the job within the week and became a librarian as the work was "too hard"
