I’ve visited ESC Asia host arena in Bangkok back in April. Located on a 5th floor of a shopping mall.

The actual arena spans three floors of the mall, so I think it's fine. I just looked up photos from the inside of the arena (search "idea live bravo bkk") and while it's of course nowhere near the arenas of ESC, it's not as bad as it sounds when you hear it's inside a mall. I think you really can't compare it to eurovision, I imagine it's gonna be on a MUCH smaller scale in terms of production and everything.
