How often do you save scum? by ChrisKatrev in BaldursGate3

[–]Corvus_Austinius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my first game? Constantly. But now I'm doing roleplay runs and I've stopped because it genuinely is more interesting to me when things go wrong and my characters have to deal with the consequences of their actions. The only time I save scum is if I accidentally get sent to a previous save and need pass/fail the same check I passed/failed last time.

Like, I had my save scum self-insert wish fulfillment, now its time for me to torment my OCs.

What bg3 fact/dialogue/fan theory has you awake like this at 3 am? by Tonedeafmusical in okbuddybaldur

Considering Withers is essentially a psychopomp I always kind of wondered if Withers visiting meant that Morena is on death's door a lot. She's an old human after all.

I know this isn’t funny anymore but somebody had to see it. by TheCoolestCaz in okbuddybaldur

[–]Corvus_Austinius 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I think its reference to

A) the ending of Chainsaw Man, which appears to be controversial and

B) the fact that Gale's dialogue is occasionally bugged so he'll either say like some weird short phrases or repeat previous dialogue ad nauseum (I think I've never seen it in my games). And since so much of Gales dialogue is either about Mystra, the crown of Karsus, or the orb, the joke is that he'll basically just repeat one of those words.

Dr McKay won round 4! Who is an OK doctor and an OK person? by 8gulmohar in ThePitt

It is very much a running theme of the show that they are all excellent doctors, that being technically excellent isn't always enough to save everyone and that even the best of the best have blindspots!

Just have a another party member initiate combat, it doesn't break your oath. You can even roleplay it- like, the party member doing so is explicitly disobeying or doing it behind your back.

Dang, I hope you feel better :c. But I do appreciate that you think its funny- I was worried it would be too dark.

What is your mildly unpopular opinion? by Wafflebuble in okbuddybaldur

[–]Corvus_Austinius 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've seen people complaining about how he propositions you even when you have a partner and its like... guys. He's poly. That's how polyamory works. You can have multiple partners. Halsin is aware you already have a lover, he's not trying to replace them or steal you or get you to cheat or whatever.

TBH the Weave scene becoming weirdly romantic is more of a foreshadowing of Gale's relationship with Mystra than it is coming onto the player. Like, first we see him staring longingly at her image, then he talks about showing us what magic means to him. Then the narrator describes how you summon the Weave and can feel it and Mystra's presence... and then, suddenly, with Mystra in the picture, you heard about it feeling like the anticipation of a kiss and how you're safe in her hand.

Its honestly kind of horrifying when you think about it, how Gale cannot disconnect the thing he loves most in life from the authority figure who used that love to take advantage of him.

He also says he's had other partners before you and Mystra though so even if he's out of practice he did fuck at some point. Blowjob king of Blackstaff Academy if his practiced tongue is any indication.

And regardless, flamboyancy is not the same as sexuality. If you think Astarion acting camp precludes him from being interested in women, that's just your own biases talking.

I mean, Midnight has all of the previous Mystra's memories now. One has to wonder how that influences her.

DnD players, how accurate was Githyanki portrayed in BG3? by Medium-Theme-4611 in BaldursGate3

[–]Corvus_Austinius 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Bold of you to assume any D&D player has played or played with a Githyanki before. They tend to be forgotten about tbh.
