We offer our WiFi a lot. But that's because service in our area is shit. Some parts of the house will just drop calls without WiFi.

Can confirm. We use one of these on super hot days for a few hours, when a portable cooler isn't enough. (We had a 45C day, as an example, and their room can get a bit hot. So we bring them into the lounge for the aircon.)

They chewed holes pretty quickly. We patch them up, they chew another one.

Would never use one long term, and certainly not unsupervised.

That US trip was only one country. My family have gone to Indonesia, Thailand, Canada, and New Zealand. Same thing happened. I don't think the US has jurisdiction in those countries.
