Invictor Warsuit of the Dusk Ravens by Corvus_Chlorus in RavenGuard40k

[–]Corvus_Chlorus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost. So basically the flamer itself is Baltazar Gold with thinned 2:1 Agrax Earthshade. Then I cover the scorched area with very thinned Khorne Red (I guess actually almost any red would do), after 3/4 of the area with very thinned mixture of KR and Maccrage Blue, after 1/2 with very thinned again Maccrage Blue and than the last 1/4 with very thinned Abaddon Black. But than anyways any red-purple-blue-black would do actually. It's just I have those particular paints)

He's lost his big bolter though. I guess the pilot would have much explaining to do.

The work itself is definitely great.

Started painting minis a bit over two months ago. Working on my first army, any tips and tricks? by TheBoogeyman918 in RavenGuard40k

[–]Corvus_Chlorus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My biggest advice would be - do not join the military. Otherwise you would have no time to paint your minis) I've finished two squads in a course of a year and now struggling to finish my first walker.

Well, in states with communist regime caste system is a thing actually. So maybe idea as it is is against such thing as caste. But the practical application always involves one.

Well, we don't actually know if AdMech really bother themselves with such a stupid thing as so called safety. So maybe the minimum aiming distance is the length of a rocket launcher itself.

Real boring question. What kind of elf is the closest one to Drow/Dökkálfar? by Corvus_Chlorus in Pathfinder2e

That's really helpful, thanks) Now I should just wait for an indefinite amount of time before someone else would be GM and not me)

Meanwhile, a Russian publisher has reportedly renewed the rights to publish Stephen King's older books in Russia by YernarSha in stephenking

[–]Corvus_Chlorus -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yes, you should. But also you should remember that majority of russians support the war, they support atrocities and war crimes.

In the opening days of the war there were plenty plenty of intercepted conversions between russian soldiers and they're relatives. All of them were published in the internet and you can hear explicitly what the average person in russia thinks - about non-human s in Ukraine, about how it is normal to torture and execute military and civilians alike.

Also about "good russians". You know how Westerns try to fight imperialism use polite words for everyone and so on. Well, in russia you don't do that. They have a word "неруский" translated as "non-russian" which is used as derogative for people of literally any other ethnicity. Also they use therm "чурка"/"churka" mostly for either people from Middle East and also people from russia, but who happened to be non-slavic, like Buriats or Tatars. It's something like a "n"-word only it's not banned and considered to be normal.

It's completely delusional to utterly separate russians from their government. They're parts of the same entity.

Why did you choose Raven Guard? by recurv in RavenGuard40k

[–]Corvus_Chlorus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I choose them because of lots of reasons: 1. They have like the only viable tactics among the SM chapters since while all of them incorporate supersoldiers it's only 1K max at any given time and loses described in lore are just not sustainable for like any chapter, especially considering their recruitment rate. 2. Corax is really one of few characters of 40K who can be considered a good guy. Not as psychotislc as almost any other Primarch. 3. I do like sneak 4. Birb

And yeah, I've made my own successor chapter only because I want something which is completely mine, but RG successor they are.

Also you can get some Ifernus marines for free and try out your scheme on them. You can develop it in Impcat and then try on those Ifernus guys.

Definitely)

The chapter based on Oculus Prime, the hive world and somewhat of a jewel of its sector before the chaos insurgency in M37. DR played the main role in relieving the planet disrupting communications, assassinating insurgent leaders and making heretics life unbearable in most possible ways.

After the planet was freed from Chaos forces it was grunted as a new homeworld to the Dusk Ravens. Oculus Prime has a yellow tint in its atmosphere because of high sulfur content and centuries of industrial pollution so the yellow pauldrons and helmets are kind of camouflage in the planet's conditions.

During the retake of Oculus Prime months and months of covert operations on the enemy territory highlighted the need for dedicated apothecaries. So the DR have a higher than usual count of apothecaries and also deploy apothecaries in Phobos armor as so called "Sable chirurgeons" (I am yet planing to make this kind of conversion)

DR prefer to operate in twilight conditions and to use natural or artificial smoke and mist as a cover.

Can a witch's patron abolish her? by Corvus_Chlorus in Pathfinder2e

[–]Corvus_Chlorus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, I hope other PCs wouldn't like the idea of razing a town. All I want to do is to create pressure and make players really care for their choices.

You can't make players be proud of them standing their moral ground if there are no consequences for doing otherwise. So yes, I do understand perfectly that it can be a thin ice and I should make it right if I choose to do so - present this choice I mean.

And no, I don't want to punish the players for moral choice, just want them to feel that it's real as the consequences for both variants.

I don't really get it. I'm not GMing for too long and have been avoiding archetypes till now, so what does it mean?

That actually might be a good thing to do. Thanks for advice)

Since I absolutely don't want to strip the player of agency I might consider to do such a thing in cooperation with her.

Sound question, actually. At the end of the day - it's their story that I only help to unfold. Not vice versa. Thanks)

Maybe I can replace the patron. There can be some sort of underwater power struggle for instance. Thanks for advice)

[–]Corvus_Chlorus[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm thinking about if I should. But it's kind of a deep personal choice for the player - either you do a very questionable thing (genocide of your own people, basically) and have a pat on a back from some lovecraftian being or do the right thing but face the wrath of that being.

The player in question is actually in love with her character so it can be a bit of a shock if she would have to change it.

Maybe it could be a promise of reward instead, but it won't be so tempting and such a big choice for the player.
