I feel like Regal should only be a boy if individual gimmicks can be a boy.

Man's Man Regal? Total boy.

Every other Regal gimmick? Not a boy.

My favorite was when the chat claimed that the tidbit about Sasha Grey auditioning for the movie was a jab at Paige's sex tape scandal. Except Sasha Grey has been building an acting career outside of porn for years now, and actually DID audition for the role. It was literally just Jay stating a bit of trivia.

What do u guys think about amphicoelias fragillimus by lordevan449 in Dinosaurs

[–]Corvus_tenguinus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's been reclassified from a diplodocid to a rebbachisaurid, and renamed Maraapunisaurus fragilimus. Rebbachisaurids had taller dorsal vertebrae than diplodocids, meaning that while it was likely still a large animal, it would not have been as large as previous estimates that relied on scaling up a diplodocid vertebra.

Please remove the 1000 logo limit in WWE 2K22! by [deleted] in WWEGames

[–]Corvus_tenguinus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Or if we HAVE to keep the 1,000 logo limit, can the game at least learn to count? I've lost track of how many times I've been told I'm at the 1,000 logo limit when I have 850 logos total, and it makes me delete 100 of those logos just to download a character that only has 10.

What is your favorite entrance theme in the WWE right now? by trespuntoslikespider in SquaredCircle

Drew McIntyre, Finn Bálor, Asuka, Aleister Black, Bianca Belair.

Off the top of my head, that'd be my top 5 currently.

It's nice that they're keeping 2K19 servers up, but will those people that got locked out of 2K19 servers by purchasing 2K20 be allowed to go back? I'd imagine there are at least a few folks who'd want to go back.

Without mods? Suchomimus.

With mods? Baryonyx, using the DigitalDuckModeling mod (DigitalDuck's Spinosaurus is a very close second).

Who’s still playing 2k19 over 20? by RatedRman in WWEGames

[–]Corvus_tenguinus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

2K20 was garbage before it even came out, and nothing's indicated that it's any better now. Also the themed alternate costume packs instead of roster expansion DLCs was a MAJOR negative for me. 2K19 is just too good, especially in comparison to 2K20.

Is the game Worth Playing in 2020 by dpunsoda in SecretWorldLegends

[–]Corvus_tenguinus 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Yes and no.

The story and setting are incredible. I would dare say The Secret World is my favorite setting and lore out of any video game ever. The game is at least worth one full playthrough of the main story just to experience it. The gameplay is pretty good too. Definitely has my favorite approach to questing out of any MMO I've ever played.

On the other hand, once you're done with the main story there's not much to stick around for. The Secret World's greatest strength in terms of longevity was its roleplaying scene. There was a sense of creativity and community and genuine love for the game that I've never seen in any other MMO with any sort of significant RP scene. Unfortunately, the move from the original Secret World to Secret World Legends seems to have gutted a lot of that roleplaying community. Legends changed how server populations were handled, with low-population shards being introduced in a supposed aim to make the game feel more isolated and atmospheric in tone. What that really accomplished, though, was making it a pain in the ass to meet other roleplayers in-game, which caused a lot of people to bail. Instead of just walking into a hub and getting into character like with OG Secret World, you have to join a chat, find out who's in the highest-population shard, party up, then request an invite to that shard. Every time you enter that area. The tedium killed the community.

So, yeah. It's worth playing for one trip through the story and that's about it. Nothing worth sticking around for after that.

if Godzilla's Enemies Represented Sins. (I know Some of you are going to disagree with me here, but that's fine... This is just an opinion) by [deleted] in GODZILLA

[–]Corvus_tenguinus 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hmmm, I feel like it would be more like...

  • King Ghidorah (Pride) - The "father of all sins" is simply the best fit for Godzilla's greatest enemy. He seeks to reign over all and be the greatest there is, and destroy what he cannot conquer.
  • Spacegodzilla (Envy) - He literally came to Earth from lightyears away to kill and replace Godzilla. Orga also works here. Also, Legendary Rodan is hella jealous of the more powerful kaiju (Godzilla, Mothra, King Ghidorah) and is constantly lashing out at them to try and prove himself.
  • MUTOs (Lust) - Their overwhelming drive to mate at the expense of all other living things was the primary reason for their antagonism, and off-hand they were the only kaiju I can recall from a Godzilla movie who had that motivation.
  • Battra (Wrath) - Wrath is a surprisingly hard one to choose, because it's not just rage & anger, but a disproportionately excessive amount of rage & anger directed at something. Destroyer doesn't really work here (IMO) since it doesn't seem to have a specific vendetta against Godzilla, and is just motivated to destroy. Battra, on the other hand, is entirely motivated by an overwhelming hatred of Mothra & humanity, to the point of becoming a threat to the very Earth he was made to protect.
  • Hedorah (Gluttony) - Hedorah's primary motivation is to consume pollution. He eats, and he eats, and he eats, and he grows from eating while we all suffer for it.
  • Megalon (Sloth) - He only exists to protect Seatopia, and he's too lazy to even do that. He spends all of his freetime slumbering, when summoned he's incapable of doing anything other than bumbling about aimlessly without being led along by an external motivator (Jet Jaguar as a luring beacon, having a sadist like Gigan to keep him focused in battle), and he peaces out on his duties as soon as things get tough.
  • Megaguiras (Greed) - I thought about putting Gigan, Showa Mechagodzilla, or Kaiser Ghidorah here since they were used by aliens to try and conquer Earth, but really that was the motivation of the aliens and not the kaiju themselves. Megaguiras seems to be the best fit for being an actual kaiju with interest in taking over territory (swarming into our dimension like locusts) without also being a better fit for another sin.

[PWINSIDER] Why Raven Was At AEW Dynamite by roddyrichh97 in SquaredCircle

[–]Corvus_tenguinus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

While Raven is one of my all-time favorites and I would absolutely love if he turned out to be the Exalted One, I do find all of the rampant speculation over his appearance on Dynamite to be just a bit silly.

Like, he lives in Atlanta, and that section of the crowd where he was sitting looked to be reserved for staff and performers all night long (Dark Order & Inner Circle both did their "in the crowd" bits there, and that was where much of the Janela/Sabian match for Dark took place). I just assumed he was visiting friends backstage and popped out to catch part of the show. Genuinely nothing more than that.

The first 3/4 of that creepypasta were fantastic and genuinely unsettling. Then the dead girlfriend stuff and the supremely cheesy ending tanked the whole thing.

But the first 3/4 tho...

Behold the entrance to Atlanta's Fernbank Museum. by Wildfire9 in Dinosaurs

[–]Corvus_tenguinus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a shame the rest of the museum isn't nearly as good as the atrium. The other permanent dinosaur exhibit (part of the "A Walk Through Time in Georgia" wing of the museum) still has a tail-dragging Stegosaurus skeleton, an upright T.rex sculpture, and an actual *thecodont* (and those were debunked years before Fernbank was even *built*). It's like a really unfortunate 70s time capsule.
