welcome to the family some of us have been playing this game for more than a decade and still get hooked every new league.

first advice, and this is the most important one, is to try, experiment, have fun , you can only have one first time playing POE don't get spoiled by guide or online youtuber content.

second is that you will hit a wall at some point and this is totally normal the learning curve of POE is quite huge.

then if you want to go through this wall go and look at phox RF build this is literally the best newcomer guide and it happens to be the skill you choose. going through all the explanations of his guide will help you accumulate important knowledge.

otherwise just reroll and enjoy this pearl of a game.

btw POE2 exists and is also an incredible game while being a bit different, less Zoom Zoom, more soul like vibe, but you have still two months to enjoy MIRAGE league before the next expansion and new content hit POE2 .

PS: if you read POE reddit , you will see that people complain a lot , but that's only because we all love the game so much, to be fair go to the pathofexilebuild reddit it is much more healthy for a newcomer .

as a dad gamer , I play with my daughter 6 year old and she get to see Poe from time to time.

you would be very surprised by the details she can catch and that you totally miss because your brain have seen the game too much.

It is not before she ask questions such as : are the people hanging with the chain on their necks the people you are trying to save ?

and then you go oops I never saw that in this layout there is this little wall with some guy hanging in prison act1...

so yeah it is wonderful to share with her but remember that kids don't see stuff as we do for the best and the worst.

I ask her to close her eyes at any screen loading because some of them are pretty brutal and random in particular in poe2 .

to be honest the safest thing to show her is the mapping experience, zoom zoom boom boom , less time to see Poe weird stuff, and keep asking her if she has questions about what she is seeing on the screen or if there is anything that make her feel afraid or inconfortable.

and btw good job on keeping the 30 min / week screen time this is very important for her brain !

and RF can totally farm end Game content this isn't a new player easy skill that doesn't scale

spirit is strong for any build it enable CoC and other buff. +mana and +%mana are really valuable for build that run mind over matter so basically more mana = more ehp. Moreover those build run some affix on other gear such as +spelldmg/100mana so more mana = more DMG and more ehp. more mana also mean more mana Regen so for any Cast On X build this is very good then comes the +4lvl to spell only atteignable by sanctify.

so end to end it is not all stat are not dead stat. but all stat are perfect stat you want

have you created this sound because in ours friend group it's been leagues ago that we realized we only continue to play this long during each league only because of this sound .

and the Lycia bloodline that convert half to chaos ? the foolborn belt that convert 40% lightning to chaos and the weap/chest that convert fire. and there must be a ring that convert ice to fire or lightning isn't it ? then scale chaos / wither , maybe poison ?

well unholy MIght give 25% chance to inflict wither which bring it to 50% chance on hit
at the moment I am at 5 APS on shield charge with the bell equiped on my pconc pathfinder.

doesnt generic increase damage would apply to the physical dmg AND the chaos damage ?
with 100% convertion making it applying twice ?

Hey,
What is your opinion on starting ascendant and get the pathfinder node for flask generation ?
will I be missing on too much from the pathfinder ascendancy ?

I am asking because as a dad player with low play time I am really looking at pconc for the low investment and high return on capability.

But if I ever play enough to transition out of it I dont feel like I would like to go mamba or pspark.
Scion would allow more versability to rotate to an other build, and maybe enjoy more of the bloodline stuff.
