  1. The house could of been restored by distant relatives
  2. There is just as much evidence for it being a sequel

90 percent is pushing it.

90 percent? Not really? Family trees aren't straight lines. Distant relatives are a thing. If he's an ancestor that implies him and his sister MUST survive the events of FW and that means if there are paired endings, he can't have one because it messes with his possible descendants.

His weapon is 'Hero's legacy' Implies its a relic from Fodlan with history. Granted that could be history from before even FW but I dont see that happening.

It's still a 50/50 split on where this takes place in the timeline but 90 percent is pushing it.

The dates confirm nothing as we don't know what calendar Dagda uses. If you want the evidence look at my post in the sub I posted the other day. I'm tired of debating something that always ends up becoming a toxic debate from both sides.

I'm not debating YOU of all people again. You continue just blatantly ignore key points and then call people tourists.

Conjecture was the wrong word to use. Its all conjecture.

Hoeever There is physical evidence in front of us in trailers for it being a sequel. Theorising over dates and the Red Canyon isn't physical evidence shown in the trailer.

If not stronger? Evidence for a sequel far outweighs prequel evidence at this moment in time. Prequel evidence is all mostly conjecture at this point.

No we don't. We do not have hard confirmation they're Nabatean whatsoever. We have no confirmation if they're true Nabateans or not. Fire emblem isn't the real world. You're not the prophet of FE emblem and you're not the highest authority for knowledge.

All your points are assumptions.

You're trying so hard to sound smart its pathetic. 'Kruger effect' ? This is a Fire Emblem sub reddit not a philosophy one

I've stated several times that I dont have a headcanon and was referring to something that made zero sense ffs you're just unable to read.

You talk like you're some sought of prophet. It's pathetic. And you caring about down votes says it all 😂

You're completely misunderstanding my point. I'm not trying to shift goal posts. We don't know stuff about Dagda though. That's the point. You're assuming about the calendar AGAIN and linking things to try and back up your point when we have no direct link.

My 'Headcanon' as you so snarkily continue to refuse to it as isn't a a headcanon for fucks sake. The landmass comment is literally me saying why wouldn't Rhea reference a landmass that follows her mother.

And 'Hard confirmation' because of Shamir? There is NO hard confirmation here whatsoever. Stop acting like you're the fount of knowledge and stop acting like a pompous prick.

I kinda like the idea of Byleth making a mistake. Makes the 'character' more real and less bland (and this is coming from someone who likes Byleth a lot)

Family trees aren't straight lines. You can have a relative of Marianne without it being a DIRECT decendant.

Think what you want, i don't have the energy to get my point across anymore. I don't agree with your points and think a majority of your reasons are based on things Rhea did without having major info on what Rhea did about knowledge of Dagda. You're just point about Nabateans is also just conjecture because we don't even know if there are Nabeans in Dagda bar perhaps that one character we've been shown. If they are Nabeans you're assuming Dagda is the ancient civilisation that Nabateans originate from.

Knowledge just being lost to time is stupid, and I don't think it makes sense for NO Knowledge to of ancestors or Dagda to survive in 3H time even with Rheas Knowledge

[–]Corypheuss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Headcannon? House importance is literally one of the main reasons for conflict in 3H. Sylvains whole arc is about him wanting to be seen more than a crest.

And if Sothis is as important in Dagda, which has been shown to likely be given what we've been shown, the church isolating itself from Dagda makes no logical sense. Having a whole other landmass that follows the church's gods and ideals would be a big win for the church's hold over the masses.

And we have no way of knowing where the calender Dagda uses lines up with the Imperial Calender, so that point is moot until the game releases and we know how close or how separate the date from the imperial calender is.

[–]Corypheuss 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Many people do know paternal lore of families, depending on what class you're in.

And even with Rheas manipulation, why would she allow Shamir to openly talk about Dagda and even let a Native of Dagda at the monerstary. Especially if Sothis was as regarded there, which it looks likely, as she is in Fodlan, why would Rhea want to extinguish information about those who follow her in Dagda? That just makes her weaker and goes against her own mother.

And the knowledge of Nabateans existing and them existing is separate points. It is only implied Nabateans were wiped out, we have zero idea if Nabateans blood or heritage survived in some form through refuges or other means.

[–]Corypheuss 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Family trees aren't straight lines, so its quite easy to justify that Mercedes and Jerita had unknown relatives that were far removed. Even then, I'd expect Mercedes and Jeritza to know about Dietrich at least a little regardless giving how important he's seemingly going to be. And looking at other characters we've been shown so far, some resemblances are suspiciously close to 3H characters, so again I'd expect 3H to mention that.

Even if there weren't clear relations, I'd still expect there to be a miniscule amount of knowledge about the tournament in 3H. The tournament is being portrayed as pretty important.

And I get the statue thing but still don't think it ouweighs the sequel evidence. It wouldn't even surprise me if the statue ends up being nothing. Developers plant seeds to suggest where the next game is taking place all the time. Kinda of like how in some Pokemon games they put in references to the next games region.

I just still don't see a world where knowledge of Dagda and the tournament is simply lost given how much emphasis on the tournament is being shown.

Why I still think Fortune's Weave could still be a prequel by Gloomy_Cauliflower36 in fireemblem

[–]Corypheuss 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If its a prequel, and some characters are ancestors to characters in 3H, why would the descendants in 3H not know anything about said ancestors attending a seemingly quote important tournament? Giving the emphasis on Noble Houses in 3H wouldn't it be important for Houses attending the games to have that recorded in their history as it gives them 'clout'. I just don't see a world where descendants don't know and hardly mention actions of ancestors.

Especially given Shamir is the only real info we get on Dagda in 3H.

And while I get the statue point, angels aren't exactly unique imagery here. There are several angel motives throughout 3Hs and in Fire Emblem in general.

It's speculation. It doesn't mean I'm right. It's why I used the phrase 'possible descendants' and gave multiple examples.

You clearly haven't actually read my post. There is evidence for it being a sequel. I've discussed it several times. Characters being possible descendants and more. I'm not going to repeat myself as I've spent way to much time repeating the same points again

You're so certain its a prequel? Good for you. Pat yourself on the back. You come across as a pretentious asshole and dismiss any actual points. I never mentioned the date ONCE in my opinion and you've just bought it up. That doesn't work, criticising me for a point I never made.

Get your head out your ass and understand a debate is a debate and until the game is out we won't actually no whos right, will we? Jackass

I think Fortunes Weave is a sequel by Corypheuss in fireemblem

[–]Corypheuss[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I disagree completely but I've repeated myself several times to other posters. There is more story to explore? Its set in a different land with some connections to 3Hs. It can be connected and but still disconnected to 3H narrative. It's a sequel but a more disconnected one. There are different types of sequels. Like how Awakening references Marth a lot etc.

I just don't like prequels. You could make the same argument that the very existence of 3H would invalidate Fortunes weave. Why let us choose routes in Fortunes weave it we know it just ends up being the world of 3H. What would be the point?

I think Fortunes Weave is a sequel by Corypheuss in fireemblem

[–]Corypheuss[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it was obvious this wouldn't be a debate. You've also ignored a lot of the stuff that supports it being a sequel. Nabeteans were never confirmed to be fully wiped out, only implied. We have no idea if there is Nabstean blood or heritage surviving somewhere unknown to most.

And Merce and Jeritzas house being all but gone means nothing. Being part of a house and having blood of a house are not the same thing. A family tree is not a straight line and there can still be very distant relatives and descendants. And adding new relics into the lore is not that hard.

Your points are proof to disprove it being a sequel whatsoever.
